About time the Lottery stopped funding these failures. Every country that hosts the Olyimpics sees the home nations medal tally go up. Not in this country with the lottery funded prima donnas with the cash already banked.

Bit early mate.

Depends. There was something a bit humiliating about the GB archery people who were giving it the big one as it were, when they came on in their first match with the crowd cheering like buggery, only for their Olympics to be over 20 minutes and one thrashing later. Cavendish on the other hand, is someone to be admired and his failure to win shouldn't take anything away from an otherwise outstanding year.

Worst thing about all this coverage is people like you who actually don't have a clue about e Olympics. Have you saw the medal table? There's only a handful of medals been handed out, so are you really basing this Olympics after a day and a half of competition.

Just watching the horses prancing about on the sand and there's huge gaps in the central areas of the stands i.e. the most desirable seats. Yet the rest of the stand is quite full. Pathetic.

What an absolute joke these olympics are.:oops:

No doubt it'll be the corporate handout seats.

They are corporate and of course sponsors. They will cherry pick the events to watch making the earlier rounds look poorly supported. Those seats would be filled if they had sold the tickets to sports fans. The organisers waffle on about the peoples games, yeah right.

Yep. Same as Wembley games, this whole "corporate allocation" should be stamped out and any company taking tickets that are not used should be fined and publicly embarrassed - when there is a perfectly legitimate demand for the tickets yet they are being wasted while the world watches.

If the tickets are not to be used then they should be sent back. Or a f***ing huge fine.

Spot on.

I'm not really sure how it works but your sentiments are spot on.
