There’s not too many options for him tbf. If we’d had a bit more breathing space it would have been nice to see Neil or Embleton but it’s not TOO bad imo.
One of them has to be given a run in the team imo. I'm sick of seeing the same old one paced players playing the same way game after game.

I know it's early days and he hasn't had a chance to make a proper assessment of the players yet but it looks the same as we've looked for the last 2 seasons so far.

Important that we got a win tonight, irrespective of the competition/opposition, as it will help the players believe in what the new manager wants to do.

some positive signs in how we are trying to play but obviously there are limitations in the personnel, that’s not something we weren’t already well aware of.

still a tendency to get overly cautious when we are one up, that will hopefully change in time.

job done, focus on Saturday, going to be a big test.

Well, okay. I was quite pleased up to about the 70 minute mark and then it got unnecessarily hairy. Oldham were bound to have a go, but we were pushed back and made some sloppy passes.
But a win and I'm glad.

Think the key is getting people around the main forward. Grigg, Graham and Wyke are not going to score without any support? One of the 3 midfielders needs to get in the box. I would personally would prefer Power to get forward.
