a few things really, but Gooch also coming back and actually having some one up front who Gooch and maguire could play off helped. we simply function better as a team with Wyke and he's shite technically.

grigg had been tidy at times, but unthreatening. same story this season.
Wyke's touch is so terrible it means he can't hold it up though and he isn't as strong as he looks like he should be imo. The reason he'll start is he appears to be the only one of our senior forwards who can put the ball in the net.

Hes pretty much the same age as our young ones. He’s having a poor season, but maybe a new manager and new ideas will help him
On what I've seen of him ,he was a pointless signing ,no better than the young players already on the books.

Despite the result on Saturday and the fact this is against 4th div, I’m encouraged so far. At least we’re getting the ball down and trying to play. Maybe just personal preference but it seems light years away from the shite Parkinson was serving

to be fair I'll still take it with a pinch of salt. we were all over fleetwood in the first half a bit back, played some good stuff with the kidsand fringe players, we thought we'd won it, had a few injuries and eased off and they came back.

I was still positive after that but we took nothing from it and they were better opposition
