This was first leg... Still reckon European Cup was better than present Champions league.... Aldridge played for Newport then but injured for 2nd leg

Fish I have called you out before for your lack of knowledge of football finance. In your dreamworld it is easy - "reinvest the Carroll money in a sell to buy strategy/invest in the academy". Do you not think they are all doing that (City picked up one of my U10's brother at 3!)? Everton are a proper run club, with a structure in place, who have been throwing money at it for a few years now. It would take Newcastle a huge tonne of money to even be knocking on the door of top 6. The club is breaking even without spending a fortune on transfer fees or wages. You are expecting Ashley to bank roll a club where is universally hated with slim chance of recouping any of that investment. No chance.

I'm not asking for Ashley to bankroll the club in an effort to get into the top 6 by throwing hundreds of millions at the problem. I'm honestly not. I just want him to stop making the same mistakes, or at least find a good DoF and let them run the football side of things instead of using a jumped up teaboy who's idea of a good manager is pulling from a list of football's has-beens and never-wases.

His way of running a club has cost him more money than the common sense approach, a common sense approach taken by several non-elite clubs up and down the league.

There's no reason why we can't be financially sound and have ambitions beyond simply surviving.

I think Bruce is perfect for you. He has a deluded, self entitled, bit simple way about him. Very much like your fanbase.

You are where you should be man. You've never been a big club. To be a big club you have to win at least 6 titles and have won a Cup in the last 5 days. Its edging on 70 years for you lot you daft twat.
