To improve your analogy; Newcastle fans are the rich kid that complains daddy doesn't care about them and makes them go to the posh school in market plimsolls and without a mobile phone. The vast majority of clubs have it worse.
Newcastle fans are the rich kid complaining daddy won't buy them a new car when there's is now 2 years old.
Presumably you would say that kid has a right to complain as well? Because it's irrelevant that most kids would love a 2 year old car paid for by daddy
There are kids who don't even get to go to the posh school, who don't have shoes let alone a phone. Doesn't mean the rich kid can't complain.
Has it? from 92 to 2002 we saw the growth of the Premier League, Sky, influx of foreign players, foreign managers, focus on diet and exercise.I'd say football has changed more over the last decade than it has from 92 to 2002
Funny how to you don't want to compare that era though.
Clubs are now businesses. Partner clubs, loaning 10 players out at time to farm youngsters, clubs having second chances of champions League winning the Europa
None of this was existing when NUFC briefly challenged.
So you think the signings of ASM Almiron Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser are ambitions to finish 17th?
I would disagree with that personally but that destroys your point doesn't it![]()
I would say those signings for this manager are an attempt to stay in the division. Which is all MA cares about. Which is why he'll happily loan the club £30m when we're relegated, to make sure we get back in the top flight where more viewers will see his adverts and his investment is suddenly 'worth' over £100m more to possible new owners.
