I was 7 in 1992 so aye can’t help when I was born. We were in Europe at least 10 seasons from 94-2006 I know that so that means 10 top six finishes in 13 years or so

I go to watch a local non league team where there is loads of community work done - if more pro football clubs were like that our game wouldn’t be in the state it’s in. If I was still a match going SAFC fan I’d be more than happy to support Karol Louis-Dreyfus and his families ownership of the club - football people who seem to have a plan and heads screwed on.

That worked out well. In my time supporting Newcastle since 92 all you have over us is 6 in a row marra. Since then we have had bigger crowds, better players, bigger profile, higher league finishes, champions league and now 2 leagues above.

I have just realised that Fitzgerland was the w****r saying Newcastle hold the trophy for record of UEFA cup/EUROPA league - he got short thrift and disappeared. Wonder why he is back?

Reminder - all those games led to zero trophies.

You just dont get it.
When Sunderland got to cup final vs Man City the club and it’s fans deserved to be there. When we enjoyed our night in Trafalgar Square we deserved to be there. We had earned the right.
When Newcastle got to a few cup finals 20 years ago they earned the right to be there. When you finished 2nd you earned the right be in the champions league. When you finished 5th under Pardew yous had earned the right to compete in Europe.
The Newcastle you support will never ‘earn’ anything ever again. They’ll have bought it.
