We used to pinch PSG’s best players even in the 90s/00s in Ginola and Robert. I would be happy with a good academy, some ambition, communication and the europa league every other season or so like we used to.

Matter of time before Shearer , Given, Clark and the rest of the Muppets are photographed shaking hands with MBS mind. Once they get going I doubt he'll be able to keep a low profile. Ego-driven despots will want to lap up the adulation in person imo.

Yeah don’t get me wrong the 90s and 00s won’t be matched for me as that was special and not all through oil money. Now the only way we were ever going to get back in the Champions league is through something like that. Be more of a hollow achievement yes but we will still enjoy it and Man City and Chelsea aren’t exactly skint so plenty of competition still

We are worlds apart as a fanbase,we see ourselves as a club that should be in Europe like we used to and you see yourselves as no bigger than a Birmingham or Ipswich etc. Now we are worlds apart as clubs ( not that we weren’t already.) likes of some of our past players such as Solano, Laurent Robert, Asprilla, Ginola etc are better than anything you lot have ever had in your entire history. Never mind likes of Shearer.

You had to watch us from 94-2006 in Europe most seasons while you mostly floated about the wilderness with a team of cloggers and that’s what’s ahead the next decade too. Can see us reaching 200 games in Europe before you ever add to the 4 you played in the 70s :oops::lol:

Ive normally been quite level headed on here and even was on an earlier post because i really think yous are going in the right direction now under KLD and will be back in the prem in a few years and it will be class for the north east but i told to "lick me shaft" and that im "plastic"..

They got battered in the champions league every time they were in it. They reminded me of a Scandinavian club that never stood a chance. They did nowt in the uefa cup as well, honestly no point in them being there. Few would remember they were in the Europe at all if they didn't remind us at every opportunity.
