Has he singed?
Crackin deal for the Mags if so imho. Him, Wilson and Maxim are proper PL quality players. God forbid they ever get a teamsworth again.
Ive no idea what Arsenal are doing selling him. I’d have him in the match day squad. Wengers obsession with Diddy ball playing attacking midfielders seems to have carried over to the new feller. An obsession that’ll cost him his job.

He got on well here 🤷🏻

I agree with everything you have said though. I think that's partly why the deal has took so long, he was probably holding out hoping for something else. Arsenal want to raise funds and we were potentially highest bidder?
Has he signed like? A few days ago Luke Edwards said that there would be no problem at all between the clubs and that it would be all down to the player. The news yesterday hasn't taken that forward at all.

Just that Arsenal have accepted an offer. I think SSN reported he's due for a medical Tuesday?

I may well end up with egg on my face, but I was hoping the Mage would spunk £20-25 mill on this lad. Yes, he had an impressive goalscoring spree at the end of last season, but barring that has hardly been prolific in his career thus far. Odd times I've seen him for Arsenal he didn't stand out.

I’ll be honest,I’ve never seen him play.It seems no other club has shown an interest so let’s hope they know something that Bruce doesn’t.

Villa clearly bigger than mags and have won a European Cup. Brentford and Palace a bit tongue in cheek but Soton is a way more attractive club at the moment than mags due to recent success in player development. If I was a 21 year old living in London I would far rather the 120 miles to Soton than the 280 to Newcastle. Guess they weren't in for him. Likewise other clubs he would drive past to get to mags....Leicester, Leeds.

Think no one else is genuinely interested. Arsenal would have tried to instigate a bidding war if there were others. Overall £25 million is good for all parties - I follow Arsenal and Willock has potential to kick on being only 22 and has PL experience. Think he could progress having a more senior role in the side. He's also a decent kid in general - sad to see him go personally but it suits everyone

But at that price why is no one else interested? Plenty of clubs have money to spend and are a way more attractive proposition than a toxic Newcastle. For the record, when we were in the Prem, I used to think the same about nearly all our signings. Turned out I was right on most.
He won't get into a side challenging for Europe, getting regular games is what he needs now.

Ross Barkley as well? Just heard.
Sorry if Seb.

Have to agree with this but then I saw the original poster and whenever a player is linked with Sunderland, said poster goes way over the top with his optimism and comparisons, in essence he talks shit through red and white specs.

You expect him to keep up his goal scoring streak?

If he was worth that money then he wouldn't be going to Newcastle. Simple as. I never said he was a bad player.

I don't think I said he would keep up his goal scoring streak. I also take the opinion of someone who thought Graham would get 20 goals with a pinch of salt as does every other poster on here
Unfortunately £20m isnt a great deal in todays market, one day we might be lucky to find out. I hope he fails miserably but at that its worth a risk for them
He also doesn't remind me of Jon Stead by any stretch of the imagination

He's been at Arsenal a long time (since he was 5 years old) and hasn't really shown anything to suggest he's a £20million+ player. So not surprised Arsenal have taken the money. I always thought his older brother Chris would end up being the better player but he ended up leaving us on a free transfer.

The only downside is that the club will spend it badly on someone like Ramsdale as been rumoured.
