I spend lots of time with Newcastle fans and also don't know any who fit this stereotype. On a personal note I don't care what anyone thinks about Newcastle as a club really or us as a set of fans because it doesn't change my support and the lads I go with are a good group.Never met anyone like that, personally. Perhaps you should change your social circle.
That’s when most of their ‘fans’ became utterly deluded entitled wankers moving out the older more realistic fans (the hardcore 20k they had not the 50k screaming jawdees that we hear about now)They were entatainaz once now man, come on
Utter Bollox, you all have had this sense of being different since you were invented in 1992 ! The 10K that you got at some games before then were no where near the same level of self importance.I spend lots of time with Newcastle fans and also don't know any who fit this stereotype. Ever thought of going to matches?Ever thought of a career with The Office for National Statistics?

Most of the lads I go with were in some of those 10k crowds. However, as I say, I don't buy into the stereotypes as I don't see them myself. Have never thought of myself as special as a Newcastle fan, the 90s were class, even without a trophy and long gone now. If you're a fan around 30, you grew up with that as your first experiences of football and were spoiled, but there shouldn't be anything wrong with wishing those days were back. That’s when most of their ‘fans’ became utterly deluded entitled wankers moving out the older more realistic fans (the hardcore 20k they had not the 50k screaming jawdees that we hear about now)

It's the lads who've only been going for 10 years I feel for. The best they've experienced is 1 season finishing 5th and the one where we won the Championship. Most of the lads I go with were in some of those 10k crowds. Aye, least we got some excitement and Cup finals etc. The issue is now the ever dwindling amount of young fans wearing Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City shirts etc, there will be a lot of young football fans who simply will have no interest in supporting Newcastle. It's the lads who've only been going for 10 years I feel for. you have all had it so, so bad over the last 10 years, this is why people on here and elsewhere laugh at you, you don't know what having it shit actually means.Aye, least we got some excitement and Cup finals etc. The issue is now the ever dwindling amount of young fans wearing Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City shirts etc, there will be a lot of young football fans who simply will have no interest in supporting Newcastle.
I wish that the Super 6 had been allowed to piss off to be honest and let the rest of us get on with it, it may have reset football on bit. But at least any young Newcastle fan growing up now knows we are shit, and won't have any high expectations!
Where did I say we gave had it so so bad? I haven't said that at all. There are clubs who have had it significantly worse, and clubs who have had it significantly better, but it's just not an exciting or positive time to support Newcastle in general at the moment.you have all had it so, so bad over the last 10 years, this is why people on here and elsewhere laugh at you, you don't know what having it shit actually means.
If me Aunty had balls etc, you stated you were crap, you aren't shit, you are in your natural position in the football pyramid, just because you went mad a couple of generations ago and spent beyond your means doesn't mean that is the normal, you are where you are based on history, a lower top flight club or top end division 2 club in old money.Where did I say we gave had it so so bad? I can't understand why wanting things to be better is such a bad thing to be honest. Our shit isn't as bad as your shit, and you're shit isn't as bad as Burys shit. That's just the way it goes. A Bury fan would wonder why you were upset about being in League One when their club went out of existence. Its all relative. I can't stand it when Arsenal fans moan about "only" winning about 10 FA Cups over the last 20 years or whatever.

Not sure I have said anything any different to be honest, but again I'm not sure anyone should be criticised for wanting their club to be better like. And we are shite at the moment, and it isn't a fulfilling time to support the club, and I don't see that as a particularly controversial statement really, I would have thought it's widely accepted. If me Aunty had balls etc, you stated you were crap, you aren't shit, you are in your natural position in the football pyramid, just because you went mad a couple of generations ago and spent beyond your means doesn't mean that is the normal, you are where you are based on history, a lower top flight club or top end division 2 club in old money.
Be realistic, are you in your normal position in the footballing pyramid? Did you have a purple patch which changed your expectations decades ago due to spending beyond the clubs means? Not sure I have said anything any different to be honest, but again I'm not sure anyone should be criticised for wanting their club to be better like. I suppose what differs is the lengths people go to in order to try and change it or how much they let it impact their day to day lives.
Honestly mate, I don't even understand this concept or buy into it of natural positions. I just think if everyone thought that there would be no point in existing as a club or a fan. Like that would be mega depressing. Our purple patch meant we had a generation of fans growing up supporting a club with a chance of winning things and so they were spoiled as such, but I go with a bloke in his 60s and so he remembers worse then now. As I say it's relative.Be realistic, are you in your normal position in the footballing pyramid? Amazing you don’t go on Mag boards to temper the expectations of the deluded fans who seem despite what you say seem to be on the majority. Why come on here to say how realistic you really all are ?Honestly mate, I don't even understand this concept or buy into it of natural positions. I was correct, you have a larger amount of fans who expect to be challenging the top 6, it isn't realistic, you don't have the spending power to do that, accept where you are and you'll live a happy life, you are not special and don't deserve anything more than any other club. Your fans are full of absolute cringeworthy clichés which you have taken to be true, is it any wonder you are laughed at? Do you not remember the Brighton game where their fans refused to support you, has that been erased from history like many other things?Honestly mate, I don't even understand this concept or buy into it of natural positions. Good crack on here, some decent conversations, and some really decent people as well. I enjoy it basically.Amazing you don’t go on Mag boards to temper the expectations of the deluded fans who seem despite what you say seem to be on the majority. Of course they are ‘Bruce Out’ ‘ corrupt PL’ ‘Rafa God’ ‘Ashley cockernee wanker’I was correct, you have a larger amount of fans who expect to be challenging the top 6, it isn't realistic, you don't have the spending power to do that, accept where you are and you'll live a happy life, you are not special and don't deserve anything more than any other club. I’m not sure but I’d imagine the mag boards will be full of deluded idiots who swamp social media with their sob stories![]()
I honestly can say that not one Newcastle fan I know thinks we should finish top 6 like. Course we don't deserve anything more then any other club, no argument from me on that one. And this generation of fans will certainly have that expectation removed and see us as a club who are mid to lower Premier league and into championship.I was correct, you have a larger amount of fans who expect to be challenging the top 6, it isn't realistic, you don't have the spending power to do that, accept where you are and you'll live a happy life, you are not special and don't deserve anything more than any other club. all you have do is read some of the posts that have been copied from social media into this thread, it is embarrassing to say the least, they still fawn over the fat spanish gadgie who left them for more money and got them relegated, what other club would celebrate that?Of course they are ‘Bruce Out’ ‘ corrupt PL’ ‘Rafa God’ ‘Ashley cockernee wanker’
Reejunal investment![]()
Of course you say that but top 6 is where you think you should be if the ‘corrupt PL’ weren’t getting in the way !I honestly can say that not one Newcastle fan I know thinks we should finish top 6 like.
