you may not want to hear it, but the actions of massive numbers of your support give the rest of you a really bad name. you's have got fuck all to complain about in the grand scheme of things, yet there seems to have been a constant protest of some sort for the past 10 years

I think the #premierleagueiscorrupt one had lost them a lot of goodwill among general football fans.

Until them I think most people took the mock funerals and bedsheets with a pinch of salt. Daft but mostly harmless.

Once they started trying to hound sponsors on Facebook and calling out the "big 6" I think most fans just saw a bunch of idiots.

or maybe they just tell you what you want to hear for fear of setting you off

I don't see it as massive numbers like, it's the social media, mainly none match goers that make themselves look like plonkers.
I tend to find that mainly I have really good banter and chats with fans of clubs wherever I have been, and tend not to get any impression of a particular dislike, not that it would bother me anyway like.

The media have a lot to answer for IMO for perpetuating daft myths and picking out extreme views. I have known Sunderland fans my whole life and always got on with them and had class banter and that's more the norm then the shite online.
Nee one gives a fuck about yous man despite you lot thinking otherwise
Of course they don't, why would anyone care about any other club then thenone they support in any major way.
The mags are absolutely f***ing shit. Honestly think they'll go down with less than 20 points.
We are shit like, but even I think we might top 20 points!

its endless Ashley Out campaigns, despite him having you lot secure in the premier league, financially sound, spending £40million on one player and generally performing well as an owner compared to most owners. its absolutely barmy and yous are so wrapped up in it there is very little nuanced, proportioned discussion. he is portrayed as some sort of Disney film evil bad guy, when in reality he is one of the better football club owners in the top leagues.

and the endless claims that the FA are corrupt, are stopping the saudi take over cos they want to protect the big 6 etc.. its absolute bullshit the lot of it. and its not just the numpties online that come out with it

the whole 'special club' 'famous number 9' patta is just harmless nonsense, everyone feels the same about their own club. yous just don't do yourselves any favour with the whole 'world is against us' paranoid shite.

has there every been a time in the past 10-15 years where yous just go to the match, and support the club

That's what I'm saying Tunstall, loads of that is shite perpetuated by the media. The constant (as you call them) campaigns are what's on social media etc. You would sit with my group and talk about football and not hear any of it. Same as most match going fans. Aye we have a moan, but that's what football fans do isn't it to some degree. Never being fully happy comes with with territory.

I don't agree with Ashley performing well as an owner mind, but that's something I'm guessing would never be agreed upon. And that's been discussed a million times on here.

The one thing we can see and agree on as fans though, is that supporting a club who's main aim is survival is a draining experience as a fan, and it's not particularly fun. And that's where we are now so surely it can't be that surprising that as a fan base we would wish for more then that.

agreed, but what can the club do? you spend millions and millions on players, you gamble that its the right players to move forward, and if not you've wasted a lot of money and put the club in financial risk. its a very slow process. you spent £40 million on one player. thats massive. you got Willock who everyone wanted. what more can they do? its poor scouting and poor recruitment, but its not a lack of ambition.

So, one person's exaggerated anecdotal view......there's a surprise!
In my local there are on average 30 of each set in for their games. I’ve met more than 1 from both Everton and Liverpool and they all say the same about Newcastle fans ! The club isn’t on their radar their fans are loathed

Obviously players are a gamble, but there is not an argument in my mind that would persuade me that Ashley has ambition for the club. The appointment of Bruce for example has to be one of the least ambitious managerial appointment that could have been made. When we finished 5th under Pardew we then went and bought only one player....Vernon Anita. An ambitious owner would have jumped on that and invested heavily at that point.

Ashley's ambition is for us to survive, a gamble that's failed twice. And as i say, that is his perogative as the owner, but as a fan that's not exactly an exciting prospect. The signing of Willock hasn't taken us forward, it's taken us to where we were at the end of last season. That's not moving forward, that's stagnation.

And sending 40 million on a player who is utter dross, and has never done anything to justify that price tag without doing due diligence is not the hallmark of a good owner at all.

Yet you tried to get other clubs fans to support your Saudi takeover

They were pissed off when the brighton fans didn't join their protest, totally unaware that brighton almost went out of the football league in 1997, spent years in the wilderness, had an owner who sold their ground and played 2 seasons of home games 70 miles away in gillingham. they were pissed off that the brighton fans lacked sympathy towards Newcastles 'plight'. sums them up

Sorry to burst you’re ‘our fans are popular’ bubble
Still you love to create this strange image in your heads about how much Newcastle are regarded as a club
Do you honestly think fans of other clubs seriously give a fuck about nufc like
They genuinely do ! They have to it’s all they’ve got
