It's what they do. They think all their players are class, and the best of them are underrated footballing genius. And people fall for it. How many of their players have had big money moves to big clubs and then fade into obscurity. Remy? Carroll? Ba? Cabaye

They seem to believe the only reason that their squads win nothing is Ashley. Or Net Spend. or premier league corruption. Or Bruce.

Well they've all gone now lads.... who's to blame now if you aren't pushing top half
Love this from the NYT about Newcastle fans: “They have developed a reputation for being equal parts demanding and delusional, for believing their club uniquely deserving of a restoration to a place of prominence in English soccer’s firmament that it never, really, occupied in the first place.”

But but but it's only the Mackems that think this....

I have to admit I’m a little surprised they’ve not gone crazy with their spend. I saw that Diaby was available for 65m euros which Newcastle declined to pay - I was under the impression they’ve got loads of play room under FFP and basically unlimited money, so why not pay it?
More than the valuation placed on the player by the club?

You were singing his praises tother day iirc
He flatters to decieve.
Nah, wasn't me.

And I agree. Outside of a spell where he carried us under Bruce (where the only tactic seemed to be give it to Maxi and see what happens) he's been more cold than hot. I don't think he fits into a proper system as he's too unpredictable, probably why he ended up here in the first place
Sima is that you 🤔🤔🤔
Not a clue who that is, another one for the list

I bet you're on a few lists....

Not what most expected though is it?

If Lingaard goes to Forest...and they can pay more how does that look?

Dancing with swords, third kit is a rip off of Saudi Arabia kit for what.....the same front three as last season.

It is not like City or Chelsea - football awash with money and you just have to pay the going rate.

Not what some expected for sure.
On Lingaard i think, obviously don't know, it is more that they are willing to pay more. Good player but 200k a week!!
Think we will still buy a striker.

Lingaard is the smartest deal in town. We will see a lot more of these one year deals. Next up will be Ramsey on similar for 1/2 years. Earn in one year what you could in two...and if it comes off sign again or move on to something better. What would Almiron be on? 70k.....
