I think they are holding off on the big spending for at least another season because it will draw too much attention and things will be said or asked about the owners, they will wait a bit until their feet are under the table and things have calmed down a bit especially with what’s happening with the golf.

It’s just money simple as that. She is an investor not a club owner, she bought 10% of the club with other peoples money as part of her deal as ‘facilitator’ then hopes the Saudis make Newcastle the new Man City and she will pay off the loans and make a tidy profit when the Saudis or another investor take her 10% off her.

2 more still to come in, a winger and a forward. Harrison would be good but anything above 25m isn’t worth it. Up front I think someone young with potential will be the priority. Wilson will start most games but a better back up than wood who can potentially usurp Wilson in the next few years is the way Howe will go. Will probably be from abroad as English strikers like Abraham and DCL will be an expensive backup and might not want to come at this stage anyway without European football on offer

All well and good. But every year they hold off the bigger clubs get further ahead of them and increase the length of the project
