I had never heard of him but my dad likes tennis and just messaged "c'mon norris" ( yes, hes old and often gets mixed up). I googled him and from SA with scottish and Welsh parents and lives in london.

Guess hes had a brown ale once.
 

I have read a few mags on here saying we'd be exactly the same as the saudi franchise f.c if we were taken over by the ksa, but I think this is a load of shite. In fact ,I don't know any fans that have went on like them, not just us. When kyril took us over, we're people outside the stadium blowing Swiss horns, and eating Toblerone. When the yanks took over liverpool, where there loads of scousers marching round with the star spangled banner draped over their shoulders ,singing Yankee doodle dandy. Where there similar scenes when the filthy rich Qatari took over man city, or p.s.g? Did Manchester lasses start converting to Islam? Did two bit local celebs start eating dinner in full saudi robes? They are nipped in the head like

Ha'way mate..you know you're not allowed to criticise the Saudi nation and this is my particular favourite "His Excellency"....vomit inducing stuff.

Why would they wear Saudi gear when they've had legally binding guarantees that the Saudis don't own/run them...

Would fans of other clubs accept Saudis as owners? Possibly

Would anyone else campaign the way they did? No chance imo. I still can’t believe the letters full of absolute lies they got local MPs to write.

I read an article on the takeover where they couldn’t get Yemenis in Shields to comment, due to fear of a backlash from football fans.

Thousands pretending that their mental health was being ruined by the Premier League.

Would Liverpool or Arsenal fans lower themselves to that? I don’t think so, they know they can succeed without it.

Would fans at lower league clubs do it? Can’t see it. The enormous sense of entitlement required just wouldn’t be there.

They slammed Robson for finishing 5th and then marched round their city centre against Pardew shortly after he got them 5th a decade later. They’ve been howling about the apparent agony and injustice of being lower mid table in the PL for most of the last 25 years now. They are noted for it all over the country.

They are the only people with the combination of extreme entitlement and desperation to lower themselves to this imo - it’s absolutely unprecedented. People all over the world have been stunned at their behaviour.
 
Apparently this is just the start and we're all going to be suicidal in a few years once they reach the stratosphere. Mackem salty tears. Honestly they don't have a clue what's going on do they.

I certainly wouldn't do it but can anyone here imagine their mates/family doing owt like this either? Surely they'd get grief if they did do owt like this? I know all clubs have their knackers but it does seem the mags have more than their fair share.

There’s no appropriate synonym for ‘Hill’ that starts with C or N, Cameron Kop was mooted before he squashed such talk by claiming to be a fan of Newcastle United. And Fulham. And Glasgow Rangers.

It was a throwaway question after the end of his post match interview 2 days ago asking "Whose your football team" but it was cropped just as he said "I have a lot". No doubt the mags will claim him as their own now ;)

Welsh mam, Scottish dad, Born in South Africa, raised in New Zealand then moved to USA. Didn’t even come to the uk to live til his late teens.
