Some thing is definitely off with this. I would have thought new season, lets make a statement by signing a true marquee player. Instead they have signed plodders from relegated teams or been unsuccessful with low ball bids. PIF have gone after golfers with amounts of money that would have bought "Project Saud" 5 times over.

Real Madrid see Newcastle and Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, 24, as the ideal potential replacement for Casemiro. (AS - in Spanish)

Watford have rejected a second bid from Newcastle for forward Joao Pedro, the bid is thought to be in the region of £22m plus £3m in add-ons for the 20-year-old Brazilian. (The Athletic - subscription required)

Fannying about this richest club in the world a bit aren’t they?

No bid made according to Watford’s local sports writer:

Watford have not received a second bid from Newcastle United for Joao Pedro, the Watford Observer understands.

After an initial approach in the region of £20million was rejected earlier this week, reports this evening have claimed the Magpies have come back with a second offer of £22m plus £3m in add-ons - and this has also been spurned.

However, this newspaper understands there has not been a second bid contrary to reports elsewhere.
There have been ongoing reports since Tuesday that the Premier League club have been set to table an improved offer.

You didn’t have a choice, the so called big names weren’t interested and I know you lot were originally underwhelmed at his appointment
Again that’s a myth , Howe was second choice behind Emery ,I know on here you like to make out loads turned us down but imagine the likes of Lampard and Gerrard seriously turning us down to end up in a relegation battle at Everton and Villa like this board makes out . They both would have came here in a heartbeat had they been offered the job. We weren’t in a position to attract a world class manager due to our league position and the joke of a club we had been for years under Ashley. As it happens not many could have done a job as good as the one Howe has since he came in and what an appointment it has turned out to be so far.

Absolute nonsense from the half and half fan

A lot of assumptions here mind. Gerrard and lampard chose more successful clubs, whose owners don't marry kids. Probably swayed them. And there are at least another 4 managers turned you down before beeddie. But you go on believing what you want

Do you know how mental this makes you sound?
Firstly you pretend to be a Sunderland fan, now you write this stuff
You’re not going to convince anyone that the Saudis aren’t disgusting owners, let alone what I really think you’re doing is trying to convince yourself.
For your mental health, get off this board.

“imagine the likes of Lampard and Gerrard seriously turning us down to end up in a relegation battle at Everton and Villa”

Everton and Villa were above you in the league when Beheddie was appointed. Both are bigger clubs than you and neither are owned by a despotic regime

Rumours are they’re looking into moving stadium

The mags owners should look to build a 200,000 seater hyper-stadium in Saudi Arabia and relocate the Franchise there. The PL and Sky will love the expansion of their product out into a new territory. Visiting sides get a break in the sun for a few days. Sky might have to make sure none of the pre match 'entertainment' is accidentally broadcast. Sid James Park will initially be kept for beam backs for the legacy customers. They can then however close the Stadium and Reubens can redevelop it if the legacy fans get uppity with the owners. This way they will never be seen or heard of again.

Fixed it.

An absolute tool who pretends to be one of us is a first grade weapon. Someone on holiday asks in error if I'm one of them is soon corrected , so it amazes me they do it on here, the Islamists.

We didn’t name him Edward the VII’th for nothing! Classic mag behaviour rewriting history (see Booby Robson).

EH has done a great job, a miracle in fact, in re-creating his best ever season (in L1) at NUFC. We will soon find out if it was a one off. I predicted long ago he would be sacked by Christmas. But that was when I thought the owners were ambitious. Given his “I am only interested in the football” stance he is likely to stick around longer.
