Lingard would be a canny signing for sure.
It depends. He hasn't had a look in for a fairly poor Man Utd team again, despite a change in manager. Pretty much the same as last season.
He just hit the ground running at West Ham and was scoring for fun. He did better than I expected. Could he repeat that again? Unlikely but you never know?

Lingaard on a free transfer would probably want about £10M up front and at least £150K a week without a release clause.
The more likely scenario would be a loan with a clause to sign if he helps keep them up on similar money to above.

3x wages, plus whatever massive fee they settle on... He’s a good player but the type that could be hit or miss in the Premier League.

So far they’ve appointed Howe as manager. He first came into the frame because Jamie Redknapp is a mate of Jamie Reuben, and Harry Redknapp told them that Howe was great based on his knowledge of him through the Bournemouth connections.
The first signing is Trippier, who used to play for Howe at Burnley.
Second signing is Wood, also from Burnley, after Trippier’s agent told them about the release clause.
And now theyre back to asking Trippier if there’s anyone else in his phone book they might be able to sign, cos there’s only 12 days left and they can’t seem to get anyone!
Shame they couldn’t get a director of football or chief executive sorted out, and Emery fucked off their whole clown car operation - that’s what’s gonna relegate them.
