Irony doesn’t exist in Tyneside it seems
GeordieMark3 :lol:

It’s like you’re forced at gunpoint to make a Twitter account dedicated to Newcastle if you’re born there.

To be fair to Shearer, when he signed for them they had just blown the league and he was seen as the player who would win them the league the following year. All this shite about him signing for Newcastle as they were his team was rubbish, he signed as they were a quality team at the time. No way would he have signed if they were mid table.

At the time he was said to be wanted by Man United, which was a better prospect as Champions, but he would only sign for Newcastle once they agreed a record figure, as you say the hometown club stuff was nothing but spin once they had him.

Not random, scattergun, careless, thoughtless recruitment at all, oh no........

From 'The Fiver';

Yesterday we brought you news that Atalanta had rejected their £25m offer for Duván Zapata and 24 hours later it is reported they’ve agreed personal terms with the Colombian striker’s team-mate Robin Gosens. The German left wing-back is believed to be open to a move to Tyneside, which is no great surprise given Newcastle are prepared to triple his wages. It remains to be seen if Atalanta will be prepared to sell him. In other left-back news, the Geordies are also sniffing around Bayer Leverkusen’s 21-year-old Dutch defender Mitchel Bakker, while the name of Fenerbahçe centre-half Attila Szalai also features on their extremely long January shopping list.

After Lingard, would be disappointing if they signed him, did very well at West Ham.
Would probably quadruple his wages too or something daft

Be the sort who wears his toon top for 14 days and nights solid on his Benidorm holidays

Yep be by far the biggest payday the no mark will ever get

Money for nothing
There are 2 older blokes that go to Zante when i'm there, one of them wears his skunk top every day the scruffy twat, if i see them walking past i always give them grief :lol: :lol:
Shearer won 1 trophy therefore, by your unit of measure, must be just above average.
Doesn't count, he didn't win it with the geordie tramps :lol: :lol:
