Wouldnt he cost more than £12m and wages than trippier? After all, you said age didn't matter.

Moving from top 4 La Liga and knockout stages of the Champions League to a team who can’t defend for toffee and a manager who concedes more than he scores.

He’s over the hill. 32 by the start of next season and you lot are giving him 160k a week. What a bargain. What ambition. Any other over the hills looking for a final payday?

Hardly anybody has claimed he isn't a good signing, he is. But people are just saying he's not worth what they're paying him. They also need a left back and centre back more than a right back.

Hes a good signing but to argue he's worth 150k a weekcis just wrong.

95% of that squad know that they will be replaced and out the door at the earliest possible opportunity. And the manager won't be too far behind.

You will definitely get a few players, some of whom the Mags will need to persist with until at least the summer, who realise this and will mail it in thinking sod that.

I'm sure some will say "it's the same at any club" and "players will always want to do their best to prove to themselves blah blah blah", but that's not comparing like-with-like.
