It's a measure of the scum that they think not being a **** is some kind of niche lifestyle choice. It's as surprising as finding so many eager Al Qaeda recruits in Benwell and Wallsend.
They've went for Trippier as you say as a "penis extension" but that means it will turn other players heads if they think "Well, Trippier's gone there so it may be worth the risk". If Trippier turned them down then it would have been a blow but they've got a 'marquee signing'. If they signed Coady then would he have the same effect on other potential buys to come join him? Of course he wouldn't.
Trippier's cost will be very little over their long term plans and will barely put a dent in their FFP but they've got a decent player in the short term. This will help in the aim of staying in the Premier League over the next 19 games. If they stay up then they also won't have to offer as high a wage to tempt younger players to come as they won't be the relegation candidates like they are now.
A club in their league position wouldn't want to go out and buy younger players who will develop and increase in value now, they'll do that in time. Doing it now would leave them at a bigger risk of going down. So as an owner, you'd want players who are at a decent level to come in, hit the ground running with an incentive to keep you up. Offering them a good wage and bonus for staying up will no doubt turn some greedy mercenary players heads and it seems Trippier is one of them.
Staying up will probably mean an increase in revenue with new sponsor deals etc yet relegation means £10's millions revenue lost and a huge setback. Wasting a bit of what they stand to lose by going down on players now is what they're doing. What will be interesting will be who they sign next as even silly money and Trippier being there still may not be enough as he's not that good!![]()
well you should have put a full stop then, and not a comma.Good signing for them ,end of ,
Is he really a "Marquee Signing" ? No-one else in the PL wanted him.
I bet Jake Humphrey is over the moon he has a fellow mag arse licker, he’ll be on BT in no time.

Jake will still fancy hanging out the back of him.Pretty sure Sinclair slagged them off a few months back. They just say what will get most clicks and likes at the time
^This.I think people are missing the whole point of this thread, i don't give a flying fuck who the stinkers sign, we all know they will be buying mercenaries who will not be up for a fight when it comes down to it.
The real issue here is the despots who now own the club and their smelly fans now, even the MP who initially stood against the murdering state changed her mind and petitioned the PM about the failure (initially) of the takeover, the whole thing stinks and hopefully will end in tears for the great unwashed.
no sky sports news on mind .well you should have put a full stop then, and not a comma.
And thatThey really are the stinkiest fan base in the world.
Time will tellThe title of this thread is literally about them sportswashing. They haven't bought them simply to be also rans have they
It’s like Footy Manager for the Mags now, hoping a ton of ageing footballers do the business.
It will either keep them up and they can kick on or they will go down and be right up shit creek.
Looks like Trippier, Digne and Ramsey are being targeted to sign.
Another shameless scumbag who plays up to the idiots that follow him.
He’s a massive racist he and the mags deserve each other
Up to 9 PL clubs had made contact, apparently, but none offering anything like £120k+ a week for 3 years. They might have done, but not at the numbers and years that the scum are offering.
It's the deal that sets him up for life
They really are a gift to us the dozy bastards
