Ashley ran you like a business left you in good shape didn’t get ? Debt free

He might be a tit but can’t remember him ordering any murders
He did something worse, he employed people on zero hours contracts

Coady is one of the most sensible suggestions I’ve heard. However, as he hasn’t won anything elsewhere and is currently playing for little old Wolves, the egos won’t allow it.
Nail on head mate ! thats my point exactly..... Trippier seems like a "penis extexnsion" of a signing ! absolutley NO thought behind it whasoever, it's just "look at us and how much we have spent on an England international n tha" 🤷‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️
Coady would have been perfect. Not a world beater but a good solid pro who always gives his all, and a fairly decent player to boot, he would have probably been a lot less is fees and wages too. A signing that gets them to the next level, then kick onto bigger and better.
Hopefullythis is their model like I have already stated. Because at the minute they look like shelf stickers who have been shoe horned into a transplant theatre

I think this was posted a couple of days ago but f*ck me:

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman wants Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to promise that he won't mention journalist Jamal Khashoggi's murder again, The Wall Street Journal reported.

.. I burst out laughing when that deluded mag said he was coming for the 'project' .. Some of the daft fuckers actually believe their own hype  ..
I couldn’t believe Sinclair having a go at Danny Mills saying he has no morals. Sinclair was convinced of racially abusing a police officer the scumbag

Couldn't believe that goon who was on today with arsehole White and Jordan actually argued he wasnt coming for money. Embarrassing as fuck and even white took the piss out of him.

He ( whoever he was, think Trevor) actually said Aguero joined Man C and they have no tradition ot history like the scum....ffs WTF.

Jordan advised him Man C were 8th when Aguero joined .

Absolute clown.

It's obviously a short term fix to try and stay in the Premier League and they need to overpay given their league position. Having a few players on inflated wages/bonuses won't really affect their FFP as much as it would by being relegated and being in the Championship. If they stay up then they'll get sponsorship deals that they wouldn't get in the Championship but relegation could cost them £10's millions in lost revenue, along with at least 1 wasted season.

If they stay up then quite a few more players heads, who 'bottled' the keep the mags up challenge, will be turned in the summer and the wages won't need to be as overinflated. Trippier is obviously going there for the money as he thinks it's worth the risk. I reckon he's probably also been offered a bonus if they stay in the Premier League as an incentive to put a bit graft in as just paying high wages won't neccesarily mean 100% effort on the pitch.

Bear in mind, he'd still command a decent wage so they're just 'wasting' the overinflated premium & potential bonus all while getting a decent defender. There's a risk they could fuck it up and still go down but now he's joined a few more players may well join them and this will obviously help their chances of escaping relegation.
They’ll stay up. I’m 100% sure of it.

They've went for Trippier as you say as a "penis extension" but that means it will turn other players heads if they think "Well, Trippier's gone there so it may be worth the risk". If Trippier turned them down then it would have been a blow but they've got a 'marquee signing'. If they signed Coady then would he have the same effect on other potential buys to come join him? Of course he wouldn't.

Trippier's cost will be very little over their long term plans and will barely put a dent in their FFP but they've got a decent player in the short term. This will help in the aim of staying in the Premier League over the next 19 games. If they stay up then they also won't have to offer as high a wage to tempt younger players to come as they won't be the relegation candidates like they are now.

A club in their league position wouldn't want to go out and buy younger players who will develop and increase in value now, they'll do that in time. Doing it now would leave them at a bigger risk of going down. So as an owner, you'd want players who are at a decent level to come in, hit the ground running with an incentive to keep you up. Offering them a good wage and bonus for staying up will no doubt turn some greedy mercenary players heads and it seems Trippier is one of them.

Staying up will probably mean an increase in revenue with new sponsor deals etc yet relegation means £10's millions revenue lost and a huge setback. Wasting a bit of what they stand to lose by going down on players now is what they're doing. What will be interesting will be who they sign next as even silly money and Trippier being there still may not be enough as he's not that good!
