Never bother getting involved in conversations regarding bigger. What does it really mean? You and Newcastle probably historically won more than us and have bigger stadiums. Last 25 years we've won two League Cups and the Premier League and I'm delighted with that. The League Cups were more than I imagined when I started supporting in the early 90s. We're in a great position now but history tells me we'll probably be back down in the next 5-10 years.
No point getting into a willy waving contest that doesn't go anywhere.
On the subject of taking players from Newcastle, we're about to sign a winger to take the place of Ayoze Perez who we signed last summer.

I have nothing against Newcastle, one of my best mates is a Newcastle season ticket holder. And certainly nothing against Sunderland, some of my best summers spent in Alnwick with Sunderland fans.
