Mag in Pieces is proud of it though.Love it. ‘Bring your flags, banners and voices to the players entrance at 12pm’
so they’re going to shout at the players now?
Not a chance we will finish anywhere near 11th.

At the moment they have both Wilson and St Maximum available .At the moment !!!!And personally I think the promoted 3 are weaker than the relegated 3 with a number of other teams in a state of flux. Piece of piss for Agent Bruce to keep them up this season no wonder comrade Mike is not splashing the cash.

We criticise the mags for thinking they're better than they are so criticising them because they think they're shit makes us look like nuggets.
Plenty of things to pull the piss out of the mags for but that table isn't one of them.
The delusion isn't them thinking they're a better team than they have, it's that they think they should be up there at the top as they once nearly won the league and seasons in Europe. They say they have a shit team as it hasn't got the likes of the players they had in the 90's as they were spoilt with big spending. They will also be comparing this shit team to what they thought they may get if they had the takeover. They struggled with ASM and Wilson missing at times last season but still finished best of the bottom teams but it's not good enough for them as summit like 86% (I think I saw this somewhere recently) want the Saudis in as they think they will spend big again.Delusion is thinking you're better than you are. That table shows the opposite.
Plenty legitimate reasons to criticise the mags, this isn't one of them.
Mags I talked to at the weekend said they'd finish between 11th and bottom. Seems fair enough to me.

They're just feeling sorry for themselves and being pessimistic about it all, mainly in part to the delusion they should be a top half team. Yet in reality, as history shows, before they spent big in the 90's they were an average mid to lower league team with the odd relegations hoyed in.
On a side note, the survey didn't ask 10,000's of fans from each club as it's just over 1,000 Premier League fans (You must be logged on to see external links) so just over 50 per club on average. A quick calculation shows that the 3.94% is either 3 in 76 fans or 5 in 127 fans so not a huge reflection of the 55,000 screaming geordies. The Mags were 3.71% last year so they've gone up to 3.94% so Bruce did well
To cut a long boring post short, the survey asking a handful of supporters of each club isn't the true reflection of the many 1,000's of fans anyway. Though no survey is needed to know a certain percentage of the Mags are deluded due to the brief and costly spell in the 90's they tasted decent football spoiling them![]()

Pardew's form was probably worse than Bruces was when you hounded him out. Let's not rewrite history here. Pardew headbutted a player, he called another manager an old **** on the sidelines. The bloke was an absolute f***ing nightmare. There are mags I know that would be happy to see them relegated just so they can aim some hatred at Bruce and Ashley.
They are never happy. Even mid table under Pardew lead to mass protests.
Yet your fanbase want to be owned by murderers and beheaders, puts pardew a bit down the line really doesn’t itPardew's form was probably worse than Bruces was when you hounded him out. He took over from hughton half way through the season. Immediately lost Carroll yet improved on Hughton’s form anyway and finished 11th.
Then he won the manager of the year award and finished 5th, then 16th, then 10th, and you were top half when he walked out on you halfway through the season.
As soon as he walked you plummeted to the bottom of the league and nearly got relegated, only staying up on the last day. Then you actually did go down the following season. You’ve never hit those heights since.
Pardew’s 4 years was your best spell in the last 15 years, and was one of your better spells of the last century. The fact that you screamed and pissed yourselves like bairns throughout the entire thing is of no consequence. Let’s not rewrite history.
