Theyve done well but god theyve been spawny in general. They were on the brink of being dead and buried
Our luck hasn't been in the last few games for me, we have in the main deserved the points we have won. Our luck has been having a fair few teasm around us who have been just as shit and allowed us to stay in touch even when we hadn't won a game. Most seasons you'd be dead and buried with the record we had.

Yeah sorry thats kinda what I was getting at

Dear Mr Em, it's all becoming a bit fraught and is a dialogue of the deaf. I admire your tenacity and if I have wrongly accused you of being a Mag, I apologise. Just for the record, what are your views on the Saudi takeover?

Awful, ridiculous, shouldn't have been allowed to happen, epitomises sportswashing, and the fact that money rules over any decency/integrity. The fact that that regime now has such a huge grip on English football and has such a huge asset in our country is horrendous.

However, there is no need for it to be mentioned in every single article, including those that you mentioned in the OP that are completely unrelated. The Russia/Ukraine conflict has absolutely nothing to do with them.

There are plenty of articles written about the Saudi takeover of Newcastle (including by the Journos that you're angry about) if you don't want to read about the Russian/Ukraine conflict and it's specific links to football.

Fair comment. I have read the Guardian every day for the past 50 years. As with the Russian connections it constantly needs calling out. In my opinion there were the opportunities to do this, but I accept your stance on the articles mentioned even if ultimately I disagree. Pax.

Abramovich and the Reuben brothers have a long history of working together in business. The Reubens have been supporters of Chelsea long before Abramovich and it was them who helped him with the takeover

What a strange thread. Somehow Pure Football has managed to turn the war in Ukraine into an issue about the mags
The war on Ukraine has led to abramovich having to sell Chelsea due to his links to putin.

The saudi government also have very close links to putin. MBS high fiving putin at the g20 summit two months after ordering the murder of khasoggi stands out and them refusing to condemn Russia for this invasion. All while he leads on his own indiscriminate war in yemen.

The whole episode with abramovich highlights the hypocrisy of the saudis being allowed to own an English football club. Its completely farcical.

These Mags are clever people. It must be the hard for them being the first club thinking of ways of getting around FFP. If only clubs had tried and failed before them to give them an idea of what to do.

And that what's niggles you and most SAFC fans......you'd rather gnaw your own leg off than see NUFC stay up, all teams have a few lucky games/deflections/decisions whatever league they are in.
