I

I live in Fawdon and it's 100% barcode. Rough as well. Been a tough 10 years up here but the silence on derby day when they are beaten is brilliant. Doesn't stop my little 7 year old wearing his Sunderland shirt. I call that resilience.

Bloody hell mate, I thought I was brave living in Walker for a while with safc supporting kids!!! You're very brave and I pray your son gets no shit (like being spat on like mine did).

The big skinhead mentioned would be Mackie from Hexham, his brother Davey lives in Haydon Bridge, MagcatcherHutch knows them well.
Mags in Hexham don't spout much shite when Mackie's around, anyone who's seen him will understand why.

Over the years have met loads of red and whites from Northumberland, returning home from cardiff after the 1980 invasion, we met up with a bus load from Blyth in Bromsgrove on the night time. On another occasion after a night match at Villa, we stopped at some service station in the early hours to find 50 lads from Newbiggin being hoyed back onto their bus after a bit of carry on.

Respect to the north Tyneside/Northumberland sunlun supporters, bad enough living in a 50-50 town can only imagine the shite you lot had to put up with over the years.
Difference is most of us go to the games travel further and know more about our club and team. Most of the scum we encounter tend to be Keegoon/Sky TV experts who couldn't take you to the O3 Arena !!

Cheers. I got pretty annoyed when that arsehole on here aruba or whatever he is called started taking the piss out of the lads who travel from northumberland and durham over this new parking carry on. Good to feel appreciated :)

Plenty in Wallsend as well.
A lad from work who is a hardcore mag was insistent Wallsend was 100% mag. We went to a boozer on the high street after work one holiday and got talking about this pissed to a local who was massive. The first thing he did was get his SAFC season ticket out.

There used to be 1 or 2 buses from Wallsend going to Roker Park.

Like @Crammy Mackem and a few others have said. There's a few about but from what i've seen round here (Cramlington, Blyth, Bedlington etc) I'd say Ashington has the largest number of fans.

I Might be wrong but hasn't it got something to do with when the pits were open why there is such a number of fans brought up there?

Correct:)

Our support will grow and grow in the North Tyneside/Northumberland Area in the near future.

More and more People from Durham/Sunderland areas are moving to North Tyneside/Northumberland for work etc.

Did he usually get in the mainstand paddocks?

When me and my mates were schoolbairns, we were in awe of how intimidating he looked.

Neil lives in Ashington these day, though no longer with Elaine. Massive fans lads for years but was a Liverpool fan when I first met him! Took him to his first game at Roker (West Ham League Cup 1979) and he was converted (though he did have a slight wobble a couple of years later which I won't embarrass him about too much) Mainly goes to the Spartans these days
Aye, cheers marra. We all went away together in them days. Elaine and her mate Debbie were regulars - quite unusual for lasses back then when there was more trouble and carry on at games. Met Neil and a few others quite a lot - all canny lads from up that way. Probably knew you as well there stumpy.

Cheers for the info.

It's quite easy really, most of the mags from the Northumberland area never go to the games. Although they do own a child called Keegan.
Tidied marra
