Glory Hunter off here is a good mate of mine and he has a place down at Mariners Wharf although he rents it out now as he works over in Cumbria these days.
I've spoke to a bloke on here before who lived at mariners wharf - must have been him

He belongs East Durham, lives somewhere near St Peters iirc. Initials NC, smashing bloke - class him like an uncle tbh.
Hmm doesn't ring a bell, I live in St. Peter's merchants wharf - leave it with me I'll see if I can recall who it is - if he ever drinks in the bascule or the Tyne I will probably have spoken to him but not one of the ones I was thinking of

Respect to the north Tyneside/Northumberland sunlun supporters, bad enough living in a 50-50 town can only imagine the shite you lot had to put up with over the years.
It may be hard to believe but the banter is often quite entertaining around the Northumberland towns, in my 50's now so can bat any crap back without getting too worked up, bit different back in the 70's and 80's mind.
We're outnumbered most of the time, but there's something quite special, especially around match days ,when red and white colours appear on street corners, pick up points, car windows and pubs /clubs. It gives a feeling you can't
quite put your finger on. Just the occasional nod or wave, wry smile or a raise of a scarf from a fellow supporter gives you the feeling of , yeh, we're here, there's plenty of us, and we are Red and White.
