Northern trains

For some home games I’ve been travelling up on Friday nights so I can tick off some of the North East parkruns before going to the match….next weekend I’m looking at train down to Horden and ticking off Cotsford Fields, so from reading this thread it seems I should come straight back on the 10:12 to be sure of getting on the train? (parkrun starts 9:00am and takes me around half an hour usually).
I was on the 10:01 train out of H/pool, for the recent Wimbledon home game, and it was standing room only in the two train carriages.
Iirc, the train stopped at Horden, but only to let passengers off, and as far as I'm aware, the train was so full, that passengers couldn't get on at Horden.

It might be worth taking a chance, and turning up, hoping you get on the 10:12 train, but it's not guaranteed you'll get on the train if it's full.

See what happens with just two extra carraiges

not rocket science is it
That’s what George Stephenson said

Last two trains I’ve been on have had 4 carriages between Sunderland and Seaham mind (yesterday from Newcastle about 17:00 and the Wycombe match about 5 as well). Hoping it’s the same going north earlier in the day and long may it continue.

Can view line from my house n seems about a tenth are 4 carriages!

4 carriages on the 10:31 out of Middlesbrough today. As per real time trains.

Reckon I'll be OK getting any train back? I got some £1 sale tickets and it's a set time train. Don't want to a £20 fine.
