Northern trains

4 carriages on the 10:31 out of Middlesbrough today. As per real time trains.

Reckon I'll be OK getting any train back? I got some £1 sale tickets and it's a set time train. Don't want to a £20 fine.
I also bought the £1 each way tickets for Satda's and upcoming games.
I was due to travel home on the 19:03 from Sunland, but caught the 17:50 train instead, and didn't get my ticket checked, on the way home.

Also worth noting after the debacle last month I complained to Northern expecting absolutely nothing. After a while, as a gesture of goodwill, they sent me £36 in train vouchers to cover the cost of 1 of the taxis we had to get instead. They stick to their story that the train was 'too full' at Stockton to let anyone on and that the only reason people were let on at every station afterwards is because people disembarked... Because as we all know, loads of people get OFF the train at Billingham, Seaton Carew, Hartlepool etc

Looks like there was loads of issues with overcrowding yesterday. They didn’t put extra carriages on. People missing out on the GNR as a result of it.
Gary Neville is having a pop at avanti west coast on Twitter.
It’s a disgrace how these companies continue to get away with offering an overpriced awful service

Worth remembering that the rail/ombudsman will act on most complaints from dissatisfied customers...We've used them a few times over the years and been refunded every time..All train companies deliberately attempt to avoid paying compensation...their ploy is to ignore/frustrate any type of complaint. The ombudsman will act free of charge on any valid grievance..

They’ve ignored us for 40 years including if you believe some of the conductors who used to complain because they couldnt collect the tickets

10:37 & 11:37 trains out of Thornaby are 2 carriages today

As per

Best of luck to those getting on from Hartlepool onwards

Just received this reply on Twitter.

Although these services are planned to be serviced by 2 carriage units our Control team are working hard to reallocate our fleet in order to strengthen both these to 3 cars. I'm very sorry that I unable to guarantee if this will be the case. ^KW
