Nordi Mukiele

For me Ballard is the only defender who has not dropped his standards lately.

Think that's probably a fair shout. Some of Alderete's performances in the last month, jeeeeeeesus. Don't think enough was made of Archie Gray who must be about five stone wet through easily blocking him off for the Spurs goal.

I thought Mukiele was having his most and the teams most productive period of the game when he was brought off. I do t know the severity of any injury he had but for me I would have kept him on as we were getting some success down our right- moving forward to the next game and beyond I would be playing Nordi at right back every game and if we do have an issue at CB with poor form or injuries then I would much rather Geertruida came into the mix.

I actually thought he is a right back and Geertruida. Which means we have three good ones and we can't play all of them. If we sign another centre half then can we even afford to keep Geetruida? Would he accept being a squad player? I doubt it. I don't understand how he got discarded so quickly but on a podcast someone suggested Villa were sniffing around.

Seen his reaction. Piss poor. Think he has an overall poor attitude. He talks to some of his team mates like utter crap during games. Noticeably Hume. Just something I picked up on during home games.

Terrific footballer mind
I disagree....he is passionate and wants to win...would rather see a player not happy about coming off.
He is 1 of the leadership group in the squad so has that authority amongst the squad.

This could explain a few things. It could also be the case that the owners might not see Geertruida as worthy of the price tag for someone who has t nailed down a position in the side. We might never know, but it does seem strange given how well he was doing recently to then sat on the benched un not used.

I’ve noticed this a few times he was screaming and shouting on very notably at Brighton,Brentford and yesterday. I don’t mind passion. But I think he’s been quite poor in some of the games he’s been negative to others. He was wank yesterday first half anyway and terrible at Brentford.

I love him and he’s a pleasure to have and watch at times, but he sharp turns negative. I actually think Hume is playing to protect him defensively so he can go up field more. He is an excellent attacking fullback but I’m not sure he’s as good defensively at right back as he is centre back.

I just think everything went wrong yesterday. It was awful. Reinaldo had a stinker. Mundle inaffective and didn’t track back well enough

Hume was shite, but played right then centre then hooked off. Lads a right back who can drift inside a bit. Bad day at office.

Mayenda was absolutely shit! Again another I really like but his effort yesterday was appalling

So I’ve picked them 4 out as bad day at office but that is basically half the team and the amount of breakdowns that caused was unreal. We must move on and find away to be better away.

I’d be going to 5 at the back from now on! Especially away and without xhaka. If we aren’t scoring we can’t be conceding

We were shite 1st half yesterday and we were shite away to Brentford so I am glad to see we have players shouting at each other when we drop our standards. I will worry when we play shite and everyone just drops their heads and say nothing to each other.

We just need to bounce back straight away and home to Burnley gives us that chance. Gutted Xhaka is out for a while but time for others to step up to the plate now. Diarra will help

Aye it is standards mate but at the same time it's his issues can arise. Do it behind closed doors if anything. At HT. Hume never looks too bothered by it but could be full of rage inside, and Ballard's his best pal so if it becomes too noticeable then divides might well happen. I don't think Mukiele has the best attitude like, but he absolutely gets in our strongest team.

Reaction isn’t great but it’s not the end of the world
The whole thing was one big frustration yesterday, we were erratic all over the pitch bar a few
Yesterday and the Brentford performance need to be kicks up the backside away from home, we can’t become a team that’s just good at home shite away
The manager has never I don’t think made three subs at halftime, he clearly was as angry as we were
Refocus and beat Burnley next week, no excuses

We have no idea what Mukiele is actually saying to him and why, Hume not looking bothered by it may indicate it's not as bad it looks harsh to determine that he's got a bad attitude because of it. Plus I have seen Hume have a right go at Mukiele too.

Footballers from previous generations say footballers say nowt to each other these days when they fuck up so it might be a good thing we have players prepared to do this.

I thought he lacked a bit of effort / intensity against Brentford, I mean most were poor, especially defensively, but Geertruida stood out. He got subbed late on and we haven't seen him since.

Bit like when Adingra didn't cover Masuaku against United - Le Bris froze him out and we didn't see him for a month.

No idea what he's saying. But body language and hand gestures indicating it isn't praise towards him. Obviously it's no issue, just sharing it could become one, who knows. Hume played terribly yesterday by all accounts like.

Let’s wait and see.
