It was Hume's man apparently, go figure. You might expect him to mark a taller player for a set piece but in open player you would expect our right back to pick up his winger when a cross comes in.
It was a shambles today. Not surprised he had a pop. Geertruida must have just burst out laughing when o'nien got his trackie off.
I like ONien and Hume but those two getting picked ahead of geertruida is absolutely insane to me. Not knocking those two, LG is just miles ahead of them. Different level of player
You must have missed the bit where he let a winger half a foot and 3 clem less than him tower above him for the openerHe has everything...strength, pace, skill, athleticism, vision, desire. A complete footballer. I genuinely believe he could play in any outfield position
That’s his worst trait ive noticed that alot recentlyHe really frustrates me when he doesn’t get back in position after an attack breaks down
Thats why hume is on the right, so he can tuck in and cover. You can't expect Mukiele to make lung bursting runs to the opponents box and then get back to defend the counter. He really frustrates me when he doesn’t get back in position after an attack breaks down
Reasonable call, Hume is defo just a full back.Chuck him on the wing as he can deliver a ball, let Hume be a standard no nonsense full back. If we are going to do experimental shenanigans why not.
He can’t just stop still and ball watch from afar like he does occasionally though when the ball turns over. Plenty of full backs in this league get up and down all game long. We defend deep we play in our own half for large periods of the game it’s not like he spends most the game bombing up and down hes a defensive minded full backs more than he is attacking one regardless of him getting a few assists recently, Over the 90 he is alot more stay at home full backs than a expansive oneThats why hume is on the right, so he can tuck in and cover. Isn't physically possible
I get what you're saying but my opinion differs i think. Hume is a full back playing ahead of him so theres less onus on him to get back, thats the whole idea for me.He can’t just stop still and ball watch from afar like he does occasionally though when the ball turns over. He’s good going forward im not disputing that and he’s a really good crosser of the ball but he does have a tendency to standstill when the balls turns over ive noticed it quite alot recently Everton in the cup game he did it a few times aswell. Hopefully that’s the end of the Hume hybrid position moving forwardI get what you're saying but my opinion differs i think. Hes also the only player on the team that is creating goals. 2 assists in 2 games.
I felt we were settling for the loss when he was taken offJust before he came off he was trying really hard to get us moving forward ad was one of our better players. No idea why he came off and as much as I like O9 it was a joke unless he was injured. Not surprised he was annoyed not just because he was taken off but he was desperate for us to get back into the game.
Subbing him off for oneinHes f***ing quality
I’m pretty sure he hurt his hand and made a big deal of it. Maybe the bench thought best to take him off even if he didn’t.Subbing him off for onein
Whats the point in that?!!
0 bad games at CBI thought it was bellend behaviour to cry and twist about coming off.
His cross aside he had a really poor game. Let Summerville have a free header for the opening goal and the 3rd goal he was in no mans land when the ball fell to Summerville which led to the Fernandes goal. His passing was off aswell.
He’s a brilliant player but he’s had a few bad games recently himself. Spurs away. Brentford away was probably his worst performance he then tried been clever in the 90th minute at Everton when he could of just cleared his lines which led to the penalty and again as mentioned above was all ofer the shop today.
Think I agree tbh. Thought it was the opposite but his recent RB performances even weirdly with his assists haven't been as convincing as he was at CB.0 bad games at CB
2 shockers at RB
Yes he contributes more going forward from RB, but we looked more solid as a defensive unit with him at CB in a 2 or 3 alongside Ballard and Alderete.
A lesson for him - if you aren't injured then don't carry on like both your hands are going to drop off. Even McCoist was saying something about not being able to hold his cup of tea later. Get on with the game and you won't get subbedI’m pretty sure he hurt his hand and made a big deal of it. Maybe the bench thought best to take him off even if he didn’t.
What would you rather them do? A little polite applause as if all is going well
