Nixon reckons...

Oh well, not quite the richest club in the world and unlikely to be taking on Man City any time soon, but top dogs, financially at least in league 1.

Do not believe a word Nixon prints he gets his info from a Financial advisor who is in bother over previous stories which were totally incorrect
This, they could have told various people it was £3m, £4m, £5m, £6m just to see what is leaked :lol:

Tomorrow's news are the 4 January targets that will be bought no matter what to find a few more leaks ;)

Here's the latest update from me, a certified KFA (Knarrs Feck All).

Nixon knows nowt, same as most of the billy bullshitters that plague this board.

Do people really put any sort of credence on the words of Alan Nixon (or for that matter anyone who has said anything about it) who have repeatedly been found out to be talking total horseshit?
For what it’s worth £4m in League 1 probably compares to a £250m investment in the Premier League in terms of what the opposition are spending.
Spot on mate

Possibly the rumoured 4 million is the maximum the club would be allowed to spend to stay within the spending rules which is calculated on projected turnover. Four million in league one is massive but if the chuckle brothers aka Coton and Hill are still in charge of recruitment would likely be wasted , give it direct to the manager who probably has more experience and contacts than what they have . If the rumour turns out to be true it is quite a boost and with more to follow it could be a major turning point in SAFC history .

I think you are underestimating Richard Hill. He has experience at international level. He worked for the Ethiopian national team as a technical advisor.

Derby were quoted 20m for Toney and Maddison. If it is correct, then use the 4m plus the 350k we could get for Grigg and Wyke combined. :)

We need a 20 a season striker it’s goto be the top priority or it doesn’t matter who we have anywhere else on the pitch

We have cried out for decent specialist full backs for years. Right back especially why no one that runs the club can see that is beyond me. At least at left back we had Oviedo and James but at right back?!

I thought we didn’t need investment in this league? Another thing pointing towards Donald having fuck all money to invest into the club.

So when Donald was bragging about it early on saying most championship clubs would be envious of it, he meant they'd be envious of our running costs? Sorry but you're totally misrepresenting what was said.
What the OP said is exactly what he meant - he's came out several times to say budget = amount set aside for running costs, not transfer budget

Suppose the jealously bit is because we're spending £X amount on the academy, travel, wages etc which other clubs couldn't dream about.

All evidence suggests that since he put down an initial payment for the club, SD has put no money to the club.
Most people tend to ignore this though.
