Nixon reckons...

Do people really put any sort of credence on the words of Alan Nixon (or for that matter anyone who has said anything about it) who have repeatedly been found out to be talking total horseshit?
For what it’s worth £4m in League 1 probably compares to a £250m investment in the Premier League in terms of what the opposition are spending.

We have the biggest budget in league one. That doesn't mean lots of money is available for transfers. Just that currently running SAFC costs more than running any other league one club.

Seriously, this should be tattooed backwards on the foreheads of anyone that asks that question.

It's not rocket science and yet some folks on here are failing to understand but still getting angry at SD about it.

Peterborough spent 4.5mil mate the summer

I think there is almost zero chance of turning a profit running such a big club at this level so presumably the Americans are putting this cash down to secure right of first refusal on buying us should we get promoted.

We're a waste of time and resources while in this league I am afraid.

The elephant in the room this.
You must remember that he, ahem they, they! You must remember that they are just keeping hold of the money for when we REALLY need it - in case we do something silly with it in the meantime, like fritter it away on strengthening the squad.

If we can’t get a goal scorer in January we may well not go up , again ... to get promotion you need a 20+ Goal poacher

This is the same Nixon who said the americans had walked away and SD was looking around for other investors
All you need to know about Nixon is that he works for the Sun
