Very select few in that group as they also need to be close to pension otherwise they’ll lose. 10% I believe (can’t remember exact figures think that’s right)Shocking figures them haha, they gave 50k for 15 years service in the 2019 recaps!
Aimed more towards maintenance supposedlyNot open to production ops then
Have a look at post #8359. It’s got nothing to do with the government.Cheers, maybe I heard right but information was wrong? Glad we know we have an ITK within the UK government who can 100% give confirmation on government speculationEither way do have you more insight?
Supply and demand surely?Man staff shafted again. Should have been open for 25 + years service and those that are at pensionable age across the board.
Looked back, that doesn’t address the point at all…..Have a look at post #8359. It’s got nothing to do with the government.
They want 250 and to cut costs no way they’ll get that on that criteria and as for the 5years service for casting maint that’s a pisstake
Mental figures . £50k is a right old touch. I’d rather have my job like, rather than be made redundant in this recession.to be fair some of the voluntary package figures mentioned here are pretty generous compared to other places.
Not saying they're not deserved BTW.
You don’t have a point. It isn’t a compulsory redundancy situation, Nissan are offering a voluntary separation by agreement which has absolutely nothing to do with the government.Looked back, that doesn’t address the point at all…..
They’ll have done there sums, the vast majority with over 25 years in will be in a position to take their pension so for them a no brainer. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was over subscribed. They want 250 and to cut costs no way they’ll get that on that criteria and as for the 5years service for casting maint that’s a pisstake
There could be lads mid 20s who started as apprentices and got just over 5 years service walking away with £50000 yet lads in their 50s been there for 30 plus year are told to crack onIn what way is it a pisstake?
TLs and above I doubt it plus it’s only going to tempting to those hitting 55 in the next 9 months otherwise they can’t get their pension till 62. Plus as they say operational needs come first so they not gonna wipe out a whole shopYou don’t have a point. Great place to work though

Obviously, but for those who might not have long to go before retirement it’s a no brainerMental figures . £50k is a right old touch. I’d rather have my job like, rather than be made redundant in this recession.
They’ll change the criteria to 20y but still not including man staff what we were toldPretty sure there will be more to come with the constant doom and gloom and decline the company is in.
They’re maintenance surely retrain them it’s not like they training line monkeys, like we’re told you work for Nissan you go where you’re neededThe die maint lads are being paid off because there’s no job there for them effectively so I don’t know how you can be bitter about that.
Don’t understand why it isn’t open to anyone over 25 years service be on a canny wage some of those peopleThere could be lads mid 20s who started as apprentices and got just over 5 years service walking away with £50000 yet lads in their 50s been there for 30 plus year are told to crack on
