From what I've read on here, the longstanding employees are earning way more to do the exact same job; hopefully they can give some a good incentive to leave and they can get a decent job elsewhere. Leaving them with a nice wedge in the bank and not wrecking their bodies as well.

A merger wont just see back office redundancy, but also a much deeper recruitment freeze in advance of a new strategic rethink and duplication to be deleted in 2025 and probably worse in 2026.

They will be offering voluntary to redundancy to a small amount of office staff. Over 20 years service only, don’t know the figures being offered.
