NFL 2021

We seem to always fuck it up in the PS unless we are the underdogs. No expectations for next week means we can’t be disappointed ;)

Reminds me of a certain football team we all know
Yeah we're basically playing with house money at this point so can't be too bothered about what happens. Mahomes always shreds through our defence but just got to hope TJ Watt causes a fumble or two.
Better in then out..Big Ben deserves his playoff place but glad chargers out as they are a very dangerous team..chiefs look like they have a few injury problems. Anything can happen in the playoffs
True, Hill was limping about and Kelce didn't look 100%

Hill looks like he won't make next week,he could hardly stand on his foot near end of game. If kelce out they are fcked

Black Monday update

Nagy sacked - not surprising
Zimmer sacked - not surprising, and nice to see as he is one of the most sour coaches I’ve ever seen

Flores sacked by Dolphins - absolute shocker that mind. Generally think he’s done well, albeit not perfect they’re a lot better than when he took over.

Gerrin. GM Ryan Pace has gone too so excellent for the Bears

Miami one is crazy. Good for us mind...

Ryan Pace is an incredible example of a man who has no substance whatsoever but kept his job because a halfwit owner basically thought he looked good in a suit and had a nice haircut. He's everything that's wrong with hiring practices, both inside and outside the NFL.

One would think Flores pretty much immediately jumps to the head of the queue for any coaching openings. NFL head coaching openings are like starting quarterback openings: there are 32 jobs but appear to only be 20-something people competent to fill those jobs who actually want to do them. When people like Adam Gase get multiple opportunities with no wait, it tells you the state of play.

Also, Stephen Ross is a great example of another important driver of NFL success: being successful in another field does not mean you have a f***ing clue what you're doing as an NFL owner. He's proven that time and time again. He, Mark Davis, and Dan Snyder are at the top of the really-need-to-shut-up-and-stay-out-of-the-way list.
Just behind the bulbous noggin of Shad Khan, of course.

Mate at work follows the Dolphins. He says it's nuts and it's the GM that's the issue not the coach. Says the coach wanted Herbert but the GM overruled him and went for Tua.

Flores one is mind boggling

Same GM as hired Adam Gase to be the coach. Funny how GMs stick around after multiple coaching hires. At some point someone has to ask who's hiring these coaches.

Surprised at Flores but the propaganda being put out is it's an offense driven game now and defensive coaches can't cut it. There's not too many head coaches have more say in draft selections than the GM so why miami's GM not gone as well. Hopefully gettleman and judge will be next.

Some good match ups for next weekend.
49’ers at Dallas looks tasty.

Anyone reckon there’s any shocks in the offing ?
Can’t see TB messing up against the Eagles and fancy both Bengals and Rams to go through.

Think the Bills and Chiefs games are where there’s the most chance of an upset.

Must be more to the Flores firing surely? He's overseen a rebuild and got them overachieving the first two seasons, this season wasn't great for them because of the start they had but you'd think the first two seasons and the second half of this season would see him safe.

All the talk is that the relationship between Flores and Grier/Tua had fell apart, and Flores is the one who got the chop
Doesn't make a lot of sense to fire the one who actually shows evidence of being pretty good at his job and keep the two who aren't. 24-25 in 3 years with the pile of shit he's had to put out there (Tua most especially included) is a lot better than most coaches would do.
