The way Ross played it, we never bossed any game, chances were in short supply, hence goals were hard to come by. Unable to kill off teams, keep clean sheets and were so easy to work out that, not very good opposition were picking us off. Then they killed us off late on usually with a spare man on the back post with a free header. it happened time and time again.

It’s about giving yourself the excuse.
We aimed at 2 points per game which we were on course for most of the season.
We failed and already you know what the excuses are going to be from the football side. Injuries, unlucky etc.
It’s hard to demand more be done when the person you want more from is meeting the standard you set them.
Raise the bar, but still give yourself wiggle room for extenuating circumstances.
Also interesting that it was mentioned 100 points and a much more exciting and good watch brand of football.
Hard to get bums on seats if it’s all negative football albeit effective.

But he never said that.
He said after Charlton, in the heat of the moment, in a raw interview, that though Safc shouldn't be in league one we have to be realistic and think Charlton fans think the same.
 
Really think people need to look at what our new Owners and board have done in the last year...Do people listen to what they are actually telling us?? Our club was £190m in debt and now we are clear of Debt.....They have saved our club ffs!! do people actually realise this?? Niall Quinn has got the keys to our City, does SD not deserve the same credit?? As for points total, We are 48 POINTS better off than last season, let that sink in please, they deserve nothing but praise and credit as far as im concerned
 
It's gonna be more of the same next season, won't change until we rid ourselves of the losers that got us here and a the few shite signings we've made, we need fast, strong athletic players, not Snow White and the seven dwarfs

You'd think he could be setting himself to fail. It will never happen with a cautious approach to football. Last time we hit over 100 points was under Peter Reid when we played attacking football
It's crazy being presumptuous because people will pin this quote on him if it doesn't happen. But it sounds good from a PR point of view.
 
One thing is for sure, by coming out with the 100 points statement they have put their manager under intense pressure from the off.
Let’s hope he can cope with it.

How much of that was that due to Ellis clearing the debt and the current owners clearing the remaining with parachute payments?
The next phase will be an evolution of the playing squad into one fit for a long time in league one.

Talk is cheap. They failed to reach their target this season, and have set an even higher target for next season. Watch this space.
