Newcastle Won't Survive.

What happened to Benitez's controlling style the season before when you had an arguably better side yet went down?

He had ten games, not a season and although he didn't do the necessary to ensure survival we were much better in those games than we had been all year

Pity you haven't got a single PL quality defender then isn't it
Dunno, this Lejeune might be decent, certainly had nice things said about him by neutral La Liga journalists. Clark was very good last year, but looked suspect in the top flight before. Conversely, Mbemba looked good in the Premier League but didn't feature much last season. Lascelles is basically Steven Taylor with less stupidity.

I'd also say there are quite a few teams in the top flight with shonky defences, so we're not unusual in that regard.

Weren't you guys a good few points off relegation when he took over? Ten games is enough to turn it around.

Still, he can get his style of play across from the start this season and we can all judge from there.

Well you guys were waxing lyrical about his style and how great it is (or sounds).

Were? Are we not anymore? (if we were at all)

We were 19th. Yet more uninformed drivel.

I can see where this is going like.

Lolz he couldn't beat us, Villa or Norwich

Round and round we go...

Haven't I been getting schooled on how good your clubs style of play is now for the last 10 pages?

Where you were when he took over was actually a question. Saying 10 games with a squad better than the one you have now wasn't.

As far as I can see, you've just been getting corrected on how different it is to how you suggested. I haven't seen it being labelled as 'good'

We were 19th when he took over. 10 games with a squad with more talent but morale on the floor and not used to your style of play versus today's squad with lesser quality but with confidence and understanding Benitez's style of play far more. It's comparing apples with oranges imo.

No you've been educated that Newcastle play an entirely different (and some would say contrary) style of football to that which you claimed.

Nobody has argued it's merit.

Well I'll no doubt get to see a lot more of this style of play that I didn't see in the few games I watched last season.

You're right on the comparison mind.
