Newcastle Won't Survive.

That is the complete opposite of how we played (and we did have a particular style of play by the way). Makes me think you maybe didn't see much if any of Newcastle last season.

I seen enough for me and my mates (both sunderland and Newcastle fans by the way) to say exactly the same.

Play like that and you'll get dicked every week.

But, we didn't play like that at all. So why would the famously pragmatic Benitez completely abandon the style that has worked for him for most of his career to a cavalier style that hasn't worked in the league for years (if ever)?

I think if you have a style of play and stick to it then you have a chance of staying in the Prem.

Bournemouth and Burnley recruited around how they play whilst the rest just seem to buy what's available.

From what I seen of Newcastle last season, they don't look to have a set way of playing, it was pretty much a case of everything built on attack and a score more than you attitude, if they go into the premier league with that attitude they'll be relegated by christmas.

you clearly didn't watch very many games then... we had a very obvious style especially away from home

we also had the joint best defensive record in the league as well

We had a style that we stuck to both home and away.......so I take it you didn't see many of our games

Mboma's world unravelling before his very eyes.

Why did his "mates" lie to him? Are they really his mates? Do they actually exist?

Are you not thinking of the Keegan era? They were nowt like that.

It isnt shut but longer you leave it more youll overpay or sign wrong players.

Of course though your preperations are going perfect
I totally said that, I mean there are more posts where I say that than there are those that don't.

I just don't think it's possible to state that we're "struggling to shift" our dead weight, when the window is barely open. If the window closes and there've been no further transfers in or out, you might have a point, but as it stands declaring we're struggling is just wishful thinking.

Your style was based on your attack and if you try to play like that with the players you have in the Prem you'll get turned over nigh on every week.

Rafa needs players in and a f***ing lot of money at his disposal or else you'll be in the bottom 3 for most of not all of next season.

Right, 4 different people have told you that you're full of shit. Do you need us to provide stats that back up our take on it?

Is this Mboma character sure he was watching Newcastle United last season?

Maybe he's found his Jossy's Giants VHS in the loft?

I'm sure the 4 or 5 of you can explain to me what the Newcastle way of playing is then if I've got it wrong.

From what I read/saw one of the biggest complaints of the Mag fans was that if anything Rafa was a little too defensive/cautious when they wanted him to play a more attacking style.
