If we go up and Rafa walks away due to Ashley then we will indeed be average at best and probably never kick on under his ownership.

However if Rafa stays and is backed (there has been rumblings of Rafa having this confirmed after the disappointment in January) then theres no reason we can't finish in the top half of the table in our first season back, the bottom half of the premier league is absolutely dross and not all that better if at all than the top 10 teams in the championship.

You are dead bottom in one of the worst premier leagues in years

Thats utterly irrelevant though? Barca are a better team too wtf has that got to do with anything

You sire are a moron. We arent going to waltz back into the top half of the league ffs. We need 11 new players atleast man. Ashley wont back him to that extent would be suicide if it didnt work.
I'm illustrating how shit you are. Turd for brains

All history now buddy boy. The future starts now - and I have a sneaky feeling that Sunlan's future isnt looking too rosy.
£180m in debt - heading for the drop. ..
Could this be another Leeds - (or whisper it ...even worse ?. )
Meanwhile we will look to reinforce our squad with £50-£100m from the tv money we are about to get.
Oh - did I mention the money.....
After watching you tonight 50m to 100m is what's needed to keep you up. With a bloated championship squad with lads that will be on big money and very hard to shift, there'll be a battle between the two fat lads, Ashley and the waiter. I know who my money is on. Tell you what though, fat Mike will keep you in great financial condition. Talking about the money...

I know the ambitions of your own club are merely to finish 17th every season, but its really not breaking the bank to hope to finish 9th or 10th in our first season back with a top quality manager considering the poor standard in the current premier league considering we were 3 points away from doing just that when we came back up last time.

Do I think we have a divine right to do it? No. Do I think its nailed on, absolutely not, but its not beyond the realms of possibility.

You spent circa £100m and finished 18th you wally.

Wait till Rafa skulks off when Fat Mike shows him who is really boss

The Toony Tears will keep us going for months

Get sutch big crowds in the championship? Serious question..not a wum etc....I find it weird and at a loss etc
Because they do have loyal and fanatical support like us.
One thing is for sure, had they not retained Benitez as manager on relegation and/or performed like say Villa from the start of this season, the true fans would have regularly numbered 30,000

:lol::lol: top half. Isn't Lascelles your captain

With Steve McClaren as manager, who is now struggling to get Derby into the top 10 of the championship.
But you assured us that he would be a wonderful manager. No doubt that is forgotten now.

People who think they will be shite in the premier league just take a look at Burnley, Southampton, Leicester etc etc. Teams who have surpassed us who we thought would struggle when they came up.g

Different players altogether. The likes of Burnley are full of players buzzing to be in the top flight. The mags are full of players who have been there (and failed) before.

 f***ing hell

Benitez took you down, drawing with us, Villa and losing to Norwich in the process. He won't be much better. He's a bottler.

He took them into the drop zone

Didn't Burnley fail the year before?
They're making a better fist of it this time.
The mags might struggle, they'd definitely be one on the 10 or 11 teams who will start the season as potential relegation candidates. I just can't see them finishing below the two teams that come up with them and we we all know all the promoted teams being relegated is as common as rocking horse shite.
