Newcastle Manager Situation

It's a dodgy one to call tbf, he's successful and he's won quite a bit in his career and has a higher than average win% across all clubs he's managed. But as mentioned many times on this thread all of his accomplishments are with good teams and good players and Newcastle isn't and their players aren't. Newcastle are weak mentally and technically and while they have a couple of players who are 'flair' they are selfish and play as individuals. The manager may have changed and tactically they may improve but the players are the issue and I can't see Benitez changing their mindsets in 9/10 games.
We however while equally short in terms of quality put a shift in, play for the team and battle (not always successfully) and so I'm still of the opinion we'll stay up at their expense.

Need to stop surrendering away from home first. Starting to potentially pick up draws that almost certainly would have been losses will help.

You have fallen into the trap now, neither of us are very good at home or away, so much pressure going to be on this derby match, I am out of the country for 3 weeks in April (Pathetic I know) not sure when I go, but I will get to see the derby match before I go, f***ing hell man, booking holidays during the football season:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Only thing I'm worried about is the new manager 'bounce' that you can get with any new manager.

Apart from that I can't see him doing anything with that rabble as the rot is too far set in.

Dont think he can be any worse, but we have safety in our hands imo. We've got a team who are playing 'well' and are playing as a team. Norwich are on the slide massively, no win in 12 iirc, NUFC dont look like a team at all, fans will still be on players backs. If we can get 4pts off those 2 games, another 7 will see us safe

And a long time ago. He's done absolutely nothing of note in 10 years, despite managing some massively high-profile clubs with unlimited resources.
