Just looking for the Di Canio thread

Can't see any clamouring on either ........ in fact, I hardly know any of the posters, Mags most likely.

Agree, but I am worried about a new manager bounce. It's saved us when we've been shit.

Didn't work with Hughton, Kinnear or Shearer when they went down.

Didn't work with Carver last season either.

In fact, it didn't even work with McClaren .......... they've slipped back 2 places from when he took over

Chill lads, its all cool and calm here in Exeter, we will still do them again. They have not become Barcelona overnight because McClaren has left. Their team is still shit and as Nev has already said, their dissaray against Bournemouth will only be compounded by any new ideas, like tracking back, tackling, marking men, world shattering stuff like that

You do realise he's one of yours?

So? That doesn't affect my response.

Benitez's previous record against Allardyce is irrelevant. They both have completely different squads to work with than any of those previous games.

If we win the derby I think they'll go down, but if they win it and get some feel good in them then I think we're fucked. We can hardly be bitter, we normally do exactly what they've done and it's saved us 3 or 4 times - we shouldn't even be involved in this but there we go.

So maybe most of us know it's irrelevant and only a mag pretending to be a mackem would bring it up.

From what exactly?

Are you saying he's not a top manager? He's won trophies galore. You don't become the manager of Valencia, Liverpool, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Napoli and Real Madrid by being average. Just accept they've appointed a good manager. He could easily still take them down but him being appointed will likely improve them.

Honestly I'm sure some on here would say that Ronaldo was finished if he signed for the Mags.

Replacing McLaren with Benitez will most likely improve them, so it's not good news!

Normally a new manager would initially focus on suring up the back and getting some draws, but they need wins just like us and norwich. Will be interesting to see.

Need to stop surrendering away from home first. Starting to potentially pick up draws that almost certainly would have been losses will help.

Sam didn't do a superb job at West Ham ask any hammer and they will laugh at you for that comment.
Took them from the Championship to mid-table in the Premier league, and kept them there comfortably.
Have a look at West Ham's current side, how many Allardyce signings still play regularly? Cresswell, Reid, Kouyate, Collins, O'Brien, Valencia, Sakho, Carroll (when fit), Adrian. Barring Carroll's injury record, they're all good signings and at least 6 of them are nailed on starters when fit.

We'd wank ourselves silly if Benitez was coming here.

This changes nothing we still have the get the results, can't just rely on Newcastle and Norwich.

Not sure about that one mate, decent cup manager but league form somewhat chequered. Not sure how he'd fair with lesser players in a relegation scrap.

My West Ham supporting mate thinks he did, that said he doesn't buy into the West Ham way bollocks, reckons Allardyce is a solid manager but not one who will ever have a team pushing at the top but one that in time will have you hover around the middle of the table.

He is quite often slating his own fans for the way they treat Allardyce.
