My prediction was based on what I'd seen in the previous two games, not on the cost of the squad. Every team has a chance of a result against whoever they're playing. Wigan knocked Man City out of the fa cup in 2018. Nobody gave them a chance. Surprises can happen.
Bruce set the team up well today and every player grafted their bollocks off and we rode our luck a bit and spurs didn't hit their usual level. All combined to make a Newcastle victory.

The criticism Bruce has copped off you lot is embarrassing really. He hasn’t been given a chance from day 1.

He will do no worse than Benítez done but won’t receive anything like the plaudits because he hasn’t had the same level of success in the past.

I really like the fact that we have a lot more British managers than normal in the premier league this season. Perhaps the penny is finally dropping that these fancy foreigners aren’t quite the footballing sages some would have you believe.

Who is you lot? 47,000 turned up first game of the season and he copped nothing.

If you refer to a few freaky fuckers on twitter and forums that hardly “you lot” , fair play the team played for him, they didn’t versus Norwich.

I could point out how “your lot” turned on Ross after 2 games this season on here, but that’s on here , totally different.

Nobody turned on Ross after 2 games, if he’d been in charge for only 2 games your bullshit might hold up, however if you take into account the previous 65+ games your theory is nothing but bullshit.

Just makes me hate them more what’s happening to Bolton and Bury after the way they’ve went all summer, ‘worst run club in the country’ etc. Beat Spurs thanks to an unproven player who cost the best part of 40 million scoring. The devil incarnate beating their club record transfer fee twice, the first of whom has not registered a goal or assist in 13 games.

Cheaper than some of the perceived ‘big name’ foreign managers maybe but surely not cheaper than some of the random Johnny foreigners plucked out the air by some clubs.

Everton are seemingly finding out the hard way that the grass isn’t greener purely because you bring in some swarthy foreigner in a nice suit. 3 games 1 goal :D

Tbf to Joelinton he’s already repaid a few million back on that hefty fee with that goal yesterday. Massive 3 points for the mags that, had them going down before that game. Looks like they’ve got some fight left in them after all
