Newcastle FC (Aug 19)

I’m really in a dilemma, I obviously don’t want them to do well, but I’d also sort of like Bruce to do better than Benitez just to see how they’d twist it.

If Bruce gets off to a better start I’ll go with,

1. Rafa built the team.

2. Bruce had more money to spend followed by a net spend argument.

3. Rafa was under too much pressure working with Ashley.

What absolute bollocks you write.
Used to think you were reasonay clever but...

Hey man that bollocks about Geordies going away but always wanting to come home ffs.
Cockneys, Welsh, Brummies, Scots, Yorkies, Scousers etc all of course don't feel the same affinity to home.
Mr fooking Cliche is Brucie.
To be honest Shaun, I don't. (Brummie) Perhaps I would if I lived away for a number of years, never been away longer than a few weeks.

I am reasonay clever, and what I've written isn't bollocks. There's some sunderland fans on here that would be slapping on factor 50 if a Newcastle fan said it was going to rain.

You specifically said that if there were cameras there it doesn't count, so I assumed any that journalists reporting on it on would also be discounted. So you want evidence of Benitez engaging with the area, that can't include printed articles, photographs, video nor anecdotal evidence... fuck me Reiver, take a day off.

I don't know you as a person other than the sad bitter ranting soul you appear on here but let me speak man to man without the bullshit.

You fall back on this 'Sunderland supporters automatically disagree' routine time after time even when you're spectacularly failing to prove your point. Don't you ever stop to think that the problem is your inability to give your opinion clearly and concisely and stick to the facts? Endless waffle, followed by ludicrous sidestepping & smokescreening, followed by the inevitable sarcasm and smilies makes you appear idiotic.

Think for a minute why people have time for the likes of @Biffo The Bear who are capable of concisely posting a sensible point. Many posts actually agree with him because he's rational and polite. The majority of people, myself included, have happily said that certain Newcastle players are good, results impressive and that Benitez is a decent manager.

People disagreeing with you might be that you're points don't stand up to scrutiny, not an automatic gainsay.

You'd do yourself, and everyone else a favour, if you'd give your head a shake and give the infantile replies and foot stamping a rest.

You take this place in general and your own self importance far too seriously.

He most certainly does mate.

I have a horrible feeling Bruce will do OK starting v Arsenal tomorrow.
Can't even see them being in relegation trouble like they were under Rafa until they pulled away in Feb/March both times (sadly).
As long as we r doing OK, what happens to them doesn't bother me, but if we do shoit and they r looking good, it will.

Bruce was Sunderland manager and I presume he lved in the North East then. It's only 10 miles away from Newcastle to Sunderland ffs, you'd think it was on another planet the way they go on about the "Toon".

10 miles away in distance but 1 million miles away in the quality of the city. Our city is an utter dump let’s be honest it needs major money invested in it I never go there for this reason, no better than boro

Err yeah but this is a forum about football not where you go for a night out.

Pete Graves off sky and Steve, I know the Krays, Wraith having a right old twitter ding dong 👊👊🤣
Janey pet, I understand your dilemma. Yes it would be good to see the reaction to the blowing up of the Rafa myth but ha'way. At the end of the day they're the mags and we cannit wish any sort of wellness on them, FTM!!!!

Couldn't care less. If Sunderland resembled downtown Kabul on a bad day it would still be far and away a better place than Scumsville.

Durham of course pisses on both.

True, just saying why they might have a pull back to the city. Apart from the stadium nothing pulls me back about Sunderland, bonus is I don’t even have to go in the city

Wudnt even waste my time anymore with Sunderland detractors.
Plenty going for it but if all you're after is, designer shops, a few swanky rrants and a few nice buildings, crack on.

As opposed to charity shops, cheap restaurants with shit food and ugly buildings? I know what I’d choose just my opinion

I would imagine Bruce doesn't live IN Newcastle city centre. Somehow can't see him living at the bottom of Barrack Road in Queen's Court flats behind the Black Bull pub and Sid James Park for example, that is like Beirut and only 2 mins walk from the swanky shops and pubs
