So know different to any manager or players from other clubs who do the exact same thing. Do they get the area and fans of their team to?
Know, know different at all. It's anecdotal evidence that he engaged with the fans area. His quotes in the press also show that he understood the fans, even if that understanding was simply knowing what to say and how to frame it.

But the alternative view is that he didn't understand the fans, or engage with the area, which seems a bizarre view to take...
People post things to wind the lurking Mags up because they know you'll be watching, you respond with pages and pages desperately 'defending' the club and we sit here laughing at you.

The Benitez situation was hilarious because he relegated the club, played dire football and did nothing but whinge about his players ... yet you'd be all over this place claiming he was a football genius, performing miracles and how he loved the supporters.
So there are huge threads on a sunderland message board, predominantly filled with posts from sunderland fans, right? Pages of posts from Sunderland fans twisting reality to get a rise out of the small percentage of posters who're Newcastle fans? That sounds like an awful lot of effort for scant reward.

Most of it reads to me like sunderland fans making stuff up, and other sunderland fans agreeing with the made up thing, then getting in a tiz when a Newcastle fan (or less partisan Sunderland fan) points out the silliness of it all.

eeeeeee, we never knew they do that
playing for us to help us get promoted while they pay him 70k a week for it.

Would Colback get in your team? maybe he's the new Cattermole, can see this going through.

I think Bruce is perhaps a bad example given his history with your club. The point stands though, had we appointed and warmly welcomed Roberto Martinez, some sunderland fans would go to great lengths to downplay any success he enjoyed prior to taking the job, would spend hours stating that he's shit, or an arsehole, or whatever. But if we'd appointed and immediately not taken to him, some of you lot would be on here explaining why he's good manager and top bloke.

What absolute bollocks you write.
Used to think you were reasonay clever but...
Bruce is on about Carroll being desperate to come back - his hometown club. Fantastic isn't it.

Hey man that bollocks about Geordies going away but always wanting to come home ffs.
Cockneys, Welsh, Brummies, Scots, Yorkies, Scousers etc all of course don't feel the same affinity to home.
Mr fooking Cliche is Brucie.

why DID he average less than 25 games a year at Spurs over 12 years then if he wasn't injured a lot?
out for 4 weeks :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

and he's been training with us all summer so it' snot just a case of not being fit

358 appearances over 12 seasons = an average of 30 games a season. So let's not let the truth get in the way like your firm's unbeaten flag

Twelve pages on Andy Carrol and we are not obssesed ???
Just thought I would add another post.

Ozil and Kolasinac out of the scum game because of security fears ?

Related to that attempted car jacking but I don’t understand why there’s still a risk ?!

So you've never heard of Grant Leadbitter?
Aye reetio.
These lot of 92ers will never have heard of Wynn Davies,Ollie Burton, John Tudor, Imre Varadi, Bobby Shinton, Peter Withe, Alan Shoulder, Irving Nattrass etc as they have never seen them on Sky.
