A river??

Those dirty minging bastards share a river with Gateshead, Shields, Hebburn...

Just come across this gem

Both middle of the road PL clubs who aren't really going anywhere. Mags have the fanbase and stadium, Everton have more trophies. Everton could have been a big club but they seemed to get left behind in the 1990s when Sky got involved and football suddenly became very popular.

They had a canny side in the 80s mind but that was 30 odd years ago.
Relegated twice in ten years suggests otherwise.

Didn't you know everything on Tyneside belongs to Newcastle?

Any mag who thinks they are bigger than Everton needs sectioning. Villa are a bigger than the mags.

I would say only Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal are bigger than Everton. Grand old club

What a waste of time, what does it matter?

Neither are one of the rich clubs, we’re all just the bottom feeders making up the numbers.

They're still a far bigger club than the likes of Watford, Burnley, Bournemouth etc but those 3 teams have better players. My middle of the road comment was about the size of the club not the quality of its players.

Agree but they're still well behind Everton historically.
Does this apply to SAFC as well?

On % of capacity filled the mags ground is fuller than Goodison though so the same could apply to them if theirs was bigger.

So? That could be based on away fans not selling out/areas that are closed for whatever reason. There are sets at Goodison with restricted views.

Your logic about Everton being able to fill a bigger ground than they currently have also applies to the mags. Thats the point.

Yes. We are clearly a bigger club than a lot of teams In the PL. Just because our playing squad is shite doesn't suddenly change that. Even if we go down to League One we'll still be a bigger club than a fair few PL clubs.

As a fan the only thing you can do to make your club a 'big club' is turn up.
The rest is down to the players and management.
That's why I'd say us and the mags are huge clubs as despite winning fuck all the numbers still turn up.
Would Man U, Arsenal , Liverpool Everton still get good support with one trophy win in 80 years?

I always think big club and successful club are two completely different things. Had we have won the title back in the days of KK I don't personally think that would have made us bigger, I think it would have made us more successful. Newcastle, Sunderland, Everton are all huge clubs that are unsuccessful in my opinion.

When they make these videos do they edit the normal people out. When ever a Newcastle fan or Sunderland fan gets interviewed outside the grounds they come across really poorly. You would think the reporter watches 50 people walk buy then says look at this nugget coming we'll get this one.

You don't want someone coming along with a logical or reasoned response do you? That wouldn't make it very interesting for their 'report'

You are right they always seem to find the dickhead up here, maybe there are a larger proportion of them??

I get the feeling and especially that video, they go up to the person and ask to be interviewed. I recognise atleast 3 from that video from social media because they are a total embarrassment on there as well.

I would doubt there is a higher proportion up here, can't see there being anything in our genetic make up that makes us inherently stupid.
I think you hit the nail on the head about it making there report more interesting.
They probably do it for everyone, I probably just notice it more when it's more relevant to me.
