Could say the same about Grown Ups tooThere won't be many better albums this year than More and there won't be many better songs than A Sunset.
Really enjoying the Turnstile album.I'll dive in early with this week's new release list. There are albums on Friday from Addison Rae, Attention Bird Utopia, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Born Ruffians, Brian Eno & Beatie Wolfe (two albums on the same day), Cynthia Erivo, Cypress Hill & the London Symphony Orchestra, Death in Vegas, Finn Wolfhard, Lifeguard, Lil Wayne, Little Simz, Marina, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Nick Mulvey, Pulp, The Doobie Brothers, Turnstile, Can't Stop It (a compilation of Aussie post-punk from late 70s and early 80s), North Mississippi All Stars, Lucy Gooch, Comet Gain, Rebecca Foon & Aliayta Foon-Dancoes,Wire, Suzie Ungerleider, Nadah El Shazly and Calibro 35.
That should read Eno and BeatieThe song based Brian Emo and Bearie Wolfe album (Luminal) is exceptional. The ambient release, Lateral, is good also but essentially the same (beautiful) track eight times.
Prefer the first option - sound like Goth Sesame Street characters. That should read Eno and Beatie
'got to have love' is my standout from a solid array of songs, can imagine it would work really well live. There won't be many better albums this year than More and there won't be many better songs than A Sunset.
Seen her a few times (Oh Susanna) her output is consistently good, looking forward to hearing the new one.I think Wire are still very much a thing. This is some sort of singles comp though.
Beyond that, Death in Vegas, Lucy Gooch, Little Simz, Eno & Beatie, Suzie Ungerleider, North Mississippi All Stars.
Turnstile are tipped for big things by Charli XCX.

I’ll have to give it another go, it wasn’t bad but sounded like something I would’ve appreciated more as a teenagerThat Turnstile album has really grown on me. There is something about it that I should hate, but it’s got so many hooks.
It’s not hardcore mind
You’ve summed it up wellI’ll have to give it another go, it wasn’t bad but sounded like something I would’ve appreciated more as a teenagerAgree that it’s very tame if it’s considered hardcore.
