I probably just gave it one chance. I'll give it another go.Their debut was belting.
The three track run of For The Cold Country, Nancy Takes The Night and Forever Howlong is the best thing I've heard this year I think. And FTCC is up there with their best ever track. Really good stuff. It's a lot better than I thought as well. Very good, in fact.
Adding to this, I've just noticed that Adventures in Limbo is now on Spotify?! Would really recommend that at anyone into that sorta miserable twat acoustic vibe. I'm loving that Saul Adamczewski record The Coward. I know I mentioned it the other week but it's worth putting back on the radar. He's a serious talent.
That’s reminded me that I downloaded it and haven’t listened yet.SAULT put out a new album called 10 on (Good) Friday, removed it then re-posted (resurrected) it.

Chime Oblivion scratches an itchRight then, there are new albums on Friday from Big|Brave, Billy Idol, Deerhoof, Femi Kuti, Ghost, Jensen McRae, Machine Head, Patrick Wolf (may well be June 13th however), Samantha Fish, Samia, Self Esteem, Sumac & Moor Mother, Sunflower Bean, Tennis (their final album), The Moonlandingz, Viagra Boys, William Tyler, Willie Nelson, Emma-Jean Thackray, Màiri Morrison & Alasdair Roberts with Pete Johnston & Friends, Rialto and Goose.
Asfor last week's releases, the Julien Baker & Torres album is probably my stand out. Quade, Beirut and Rhiannon Giddens & Justin Robinson all really good. A little underwhelmed by Tunde Adebimpe (given his history in TV On The Radio). Sault album is pretty good.
Chime Oblivion is intriguing for me.Chime Oblivion scratches an itch
