New Music Releases Thread

It's a lot better than I thought as well. Very good, in fact.
The three track run of For The Cold Country, Nancy Takes The Night and Forever Howlong is the best thing I've heard this year I think. And FTCC is up there with their best ever track. Really good stuff.

I'm loving that Saul Adamczewski record The Coward. I know I mentioned it the other week but it's worth putting back on the radar. He's a serious talent.

Adding to this, I've just noticed that Adventures in Limbo is now on Spotify?! Would really recommend that at anyone into that sorta miserable twat acoustic vibe. It's great.

Wu Lyf. Incredible tonight. Dirt was one of the most life affirming experiences I've had at a gig in my life. Think I'd be happy to leave it at that though, it was euphoric. That scratched an itch I've had for 12 years.

New stuff sounds good, but I'm really not sure it'll cut through these days. It mixed well with the old stuff, but I'm not an album of it would work. It's very late 80s early 90s Springsteen sounding. I am canny pissed mind.

Right then, there are new albums on Friday from Big|Brave, Billy Idol, Deerhoof, Femi Kuti, Ghost, Jensen McRae, Machine Head, Patrick Wolf (may well be June 13th however), Samantha Fish, Samia, Self Esteem, Sumac & Moor Mother, Sunflower Bean, Tennis (their final album), The Moonlandingz, Viagra Boys, William Tyler, Willie Nelson, Emma-Jean Thackray, Màiri Morrison & Alasdair Roberts with Pete Johnston & Friends, Rialto and Goose.

Asfor last week's releases, the Julien Baker & Torres album is probably my stand out. Quade, Beirut and Rhiannon Giddens & Justin Robinson all really good. A little underwhelmed by Tunde Adebimpe (given his history in TV On The Radio). Sault album is pretty good.

Good mix of artists involved there.
