Did it have a rhythm like being banged over the bins out the back of BGT?Something about blackcurrant vibes and a hint of Palmolive and Les Dennis.

Really sad that, saw them loads in the 90sSad to see James Broad, singer of Silver Sun, has died of the big C today. Very fond of their first album in particular.
This is the kits latest effort is a good un.
Thanks, I’ll hunt this out. Never got around to listening to BtMI, which is odd given the Rosenstock/Stevenson involvement. One that have been on my list but never quite happened. Most interesting of the lot is a former Bomb The Music Industry, who retired from music when they split up and got a “proper” job. He’s released an EP under the name Rocky Sullivan Psy D and it’s a bizarre blend of ska, Celtic punk, folk punk and pop-punk.
I listened to most of it on Friday and was unsure. It started off with a bit of spoken word shite and I was unimpressed but thankfully that didn't last too long. i had heard a couple of tracks form the album previously and they were OK. It's rather a mixed bag of musical styles and will take a few more listens to form a proper opinion but it's definitely not amongst his best work.elvis costello album gets hell of a review in sunday times
Yeah there was nothing from them on Apple Music I’m afraid. Bizarrley though it suggested a “similar artist” of Bombskare who are a Scottish ska bands whose original drummer’s wife worked with me a few years back. Thanks, I’ll hunt this out. On the subject of Celtic punk / ska, did you ever give Victorian Trout Conspiracy a go?
I downloaded their 2 EPs at the time and really liked them. Presumably long gone as I those were about a decade back and I’ve not heard anything about them sinceYeah there was nothing from them on Apple Music I’m afraid. No, I was talking about VTC too - coming out blank in Apple search. I have quite a few BTMI albums.I downloaded their 2 EPs at the time and really liked them. Presumably long gone as I those were about a decade back and I’ve not heard anything about them since
Just re-read that and I think you were talking about BtMI so ignore my response - I was talking about VTC
Probably find them on YouTube - I remember the lead songs on the EPs were Ciderbam and Golden JimNo, I was talking about VTC too - coming out blank in Apple search. I have quite a few BTMI albums.
EDIT - Google seems to think VTC are on Spotify and Deezer but not Apple Music
He always get good reviews from people who use words for a living. They seem to place to much emphasis on reams nnreams of unintelligible tosh. Mind I can talk/post. I’ve been saying since Get Happy that he needs an editor. Every album like Dylan is greeted as a return to his finest work and never are.elvis costello album gets hell of a review in sunday times
