Courtney Marie Andrews and JD King for me this week. Probably the PJ Harvey demos too. I’m off work Fri/Mon/Tue so might have more time to listen.

Seen the mighty CMA live. She's fantastic. Her back catalogue is full of absolute quality. Some stunning tracks.

She played Perth a year or 2 ago but I was on holiday at the time. Would have loved to have gone.

Yeah she was class. Can't help thinking she'd be much more commercially successful with a heavier guitar sound. I think some of her stuff would lend itself really well to having a bit more power but then I guess that's not what she's after.

Taylor Swift to add to the list as she releases her album tomorrow with contributions from The National’s Aaron Dessner (co writer), Justin Vernon and Jack Antanoff. Very interesting...

Aye, just saw the story on The Guardian's site. Sounds intriguing.

I actually have very high hopes.

Been listening to a few from last week today.

Enjoyed Silverbacks. Gave me a bit of a throwback to The Rakes who were a firm fav of mine. No Age perhaps my favourite of the week. Couldn't quite get into Crack Cloud and SPICE but may give them another go.

Looks like there might be an alias in there as well - someone called William Bowery, who she lists with the above, like we should know him, yet who doesn't have any internet presence except in links to posts about her album....

Could it be Kanye West assuming another identity? First president now this?
doing some extra research (slow day for me) and there are suspicions it could be her boyfriend or brother

Jack Antonoff seems to be on every female pop artists new album these days. If the new Swifty record is as good as the St Vincent one he worked on the other year then happy days.

I think it's pretty safe to say it's not Kanye ha. His new album's supposed to be out tomorrow but given it's Kanye it probably won't be.

He seems to have managed to step from the fringes into the mainstream and still keep most of his credibility which is something you don’t see very often.

Aye, I was having a laugh with that one. I'm pretty sure it's her brother looking at the evidence and the 'Swifties' theories.

Well, she has been photographed with "William" Bragg a couple of times the past few months and he did play the "Bowery" Ballroom for 3 nights last autumn. Maybe she was there...and he covered one of her songs a few weeks ago...hmmmm

That's a distinct (although on face value it's rather absurd) possibility as there seems to be a bit of mutual admiration going on between the pair of them.

Oh aye I thought you were. I'm really hoping the reason she's releasing her album tomorrow all of a sudden on the same day as Kanye is because when she sells a million times more than him, it will cause even more drama between the two of them.

Guessing it'll have been planned for release a fair while ago though and she's only just announced it though.
