Nick Cave covering T.Rex‘s Cosmic Dancer for a new Marc Bolan tribute album was on 6 music earlier.
I adore that song. Heard it somewhere and it is a classic that I will listen to for many years to come. (Hopefully)‘texas sun’ with the last rays of the day and cold beer. Takes your mind off all this shit for a few minutes for sure.
It’s all getting very quiet, I would have thought artists/labels would be keen to at least get their new stuff onto streaming/download services even if they couldn’t get physical distribution sorted.First day of May tomorrow and another batch of new albums. Lockdown allowing there are albums from Austra, Car Seat Headrest, Damien Jurado, Diet Cig, Kenny Chesney, Man Man, Umbra Vitae, Loor and Ghostpoet.

Exciting news for us Arab Strap fans. They've announced that they'll have some news this week. Some amusing comments from Malcolm Middleton and others have been posted in response on the band's Facebook page (they're getting ribbed for announcing an announcement). I'm expecting new material and hopefully some dates as it's no secret Malcolm and Aidan have been working together again.
ECB keeps interest rates negativeIt's the Arab Strap archive available through bandcamp. 20 new digital releases with a mix of rare stuff, a compilation, gigs and a shedload of demos. Kicks off 9am tomorrow at name your own price cost.

Oil was negative the other week
My price: Arab Strap owe me £15
ive had this on today, hadnt heard any of his stuff previously... wasnt as dull as i was expecting, although you hear what he brings to the radiohead sound without really adding much more... so its really 1/5th a decent radiohead album.EOB: A bit dull TBH. Lies midway between Thom Yorke's solo stuff and Phil Selway's solo stuff.
Yeah, cheers Arkle. Their other plans remain on hold.
