Bodega – Shiny New Model….Spotify has it as an album…seems more like an EP so not sure if it qualifies
Yeah, it's certainly a stretch - Rough Trade were selling the vinyl at pretty much full price as well, which I thought was a bit of a pisstake. At 7 tracks and 16 minutes or so, I'd say it's an EP as well. Very good though!!
FFS Chunky, forgot about DIIV
For being top secret until the day it dropped, this is actually very good. Atmosphere are always great lyrics-wise, very witty even when they are being a bit silly and this one is no different. Slowly becoming one of my all time favourite hip-hop acts I think (they have a long way to go to overtake Run DMC, The Roots and The Beastie Boys though).TL;DR
Atmosphere have dropped a “surprise” album today. Hardly any publicity or anything and apparently Slug answered an interview with “I don’t know what you’re talking about” when questioned on it.
I know all of those man!
Biggest disappointments: Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen and Alex Cameron.
